It is worth noting that RA has invested significantly in the women’s 7’s program over the last 10 years and that team has World Championships and an Olympic Gold medal to show for it. Has AFL or NRL achieved the same? Perspective is required.
The Wallaroos deserve more funding and when the RA’s balance sheet is stronger, I’m confident they will receive it. It’s all about balancing the priorities and ‘feeding the many hungry mouths’ in the game.

The Broadcast deal from Nine/Stan delivered about the same amount as Fox plus it achieved free to air coverage for the game. Where the decline in broadcast revenue has come from this time around is the international broadcasters, particularly the UK….that declined significantly and has nothing to do with Foxtel.
