Team11 have stated they would be happy to come into a 2nd division.

Agree

I don’t know about Sydney, but the new team seems to be getting positive responses.
The Melbourne team is going to be a bad decision I think, there is no hype about it, but apparently they had the best bid (bribe).

I think Sth Melbourne would have been a better bid than these guys, all other previous bids there has been excited chatter about it, there has been nothing with this group.
BREAKING: FFA board decides on A-League expansion clubs as Team 11 reportedly miss out
I don’t know who will support the west Melbourne team, are they going to have any supporters at all?

Yep, 15-20 minute drive.
Although I would say that if team11 do get in I would become a paying member, just saying.
A League expansion is finally here
At the moment I do, but it’s early dayz, it’ll become a bit more clearer after the fith round when most are match fit and giving their best.
Six talking points from A-League Round 2
I reckon Brosque should be given a chance in the socceroos, no one else is stepping up as striker atm and I reckon he could do the job.
The A-League team of the week: Round 2
The season has started pretty well, there have been some cracking games.
Both Sydney teams, Victory and Perth look to be very good early on, they are the ones to beat.
The rest seem to be on level pickings and will fight amoungst themselves, though City are under performing with the squad they have, maybe when the young socceroos come back they can help their cause. You can watch their finals game here tonight at 11:30 pm https://www.youtube.com/user/AFCCHAMPIONSLEAGUE/featured
The Nix and CCM are greatly improved, not title winners, but great for the competition.
VAR grabs the limelight over the football, it’s not helping things at all atm, it seemed ok at the WC, but in the HAL it’s been a living nightmare.
The referee in Victory v Perth had a good game, he has been the best ref in the two rounds.

Agree, is he over his injury though?
The Roos' win over Kuwait a tasting plate of footballing morsels
Arzani and Mabil really made a difference, we suddenly looked more a technical team. Though I thought Kruse wasn’t that bad, but Leckie had a bit of a mare tbh, looked like he couldn’t be bothered.
I wish Gol Gol was in camp, I would like to see him up front, he’s been scoring pretty regular for his club and they have been in Euro competitions.

I think it’s thr worst I have heard from him, grow some balls mate and promote the game ffs.
FFA can see clearly now, the reign has gone
The PFA has ruined football more than any invested group.

but the post was about the exorbitant fee’s imposed by the FFA, that’s quite minimal, as you pointed out, the main cost is the coach.
FFA can see clearly now, the reign has gone
One good thing the FFA did was to buy a group insurance for clubs, where before clubs bought it independintly, it has made the cost of insurance much cheaper for clubs than before.

FFA fee’s are $20, less for younger age groups, ask the clubs where your money is going.
FFA can see clearly now, the reign has gone
True and obviously a lot of people watch overseas football, especially the EPL.

But then it splits into two different competitions, with about the same amount of games, so really a club will play 50 or so games a season.

But it’s not local, I don’t get supporting a team you have no affilliation to, or will never see in the flesh. Watching the occasional game, or following your favorite Aussy overseas yes, otherwise I don’t get it.
FFA can see clearly now, the reign has gone
That’s the group I was thinking of, agree, hopefully it happens.
Hopefully football people this time and not lawyers and afl people.

Well the teams have been chosen, so there isn’t much point in going on about the positives and negatives. I had my own preferences, so my initial emotion was deflation, but the new teams had something the others didn’t and I can’t poo poo in their parade.
It is what it is and I wish the new teams the best, Forza A League.
Expansion has arrived, and we have some questions
