And if the bowler is like Jadeja who is known to bowl his overs under 3 minutes then you can imagine how much rest the quick bowler on the other end would get 😛

Well in the semi-final he was done by “no pace”

Dropping Glenn Maxwell against England would be a huge mistake

There’s always a first. And this World Cup Australia has one…i.e. First time Australia has lost a World Cup semi-final since 1975.

Australia smashed by England in horrendous end to World Cup campaign

Hopefully the incessant rains would have subsided by now. You know how to swim right? 😀

Enjoy your trip.

How do you ensure that the surface doesn’t change or for that matter weather doesn’t change? None is in your control. You play on the surface provided. NZ’s NRR was boosted because of one match…true…but you are forgetting that they played extremely well in that match. Unfortunately they couldn’t do it for the remainder of the matches and in case of India’s match it didn’t happen at all due to rain. So how do you decide who goes ahead if it was India and NZ tied on 11 points? A team which had just one good match or a team which consistently had secured resounding victories?

How the ICC robbed Pakistan of their semi-final chance

I was talking in reference to using head to head result “only” to decide who goes to the next stage in case of tied points. NRR tells how well a team played during the league stage. So it should have a higher preference in deciding who advances than just looking at that one match.

How the ICC robbed Pakistan of their semi-final chance

Just looking at head to head in the round robin is not a fair way to decide who goes ahead in case of tied points. This will render the team’s performance during the other matches it played in the round robin null and void. The NRR tells you how convincing the victories were for that team and should get preference to move ahead. In case of the NRR is also tied then head to head makes sense.

“Marcus Stoinis eventually put an end to the nonsense by running himself out in the nineteenth over” … that was pure Gold 🙂

The Liebke Ratings: Australia vs South Africa

Aren’t the knock out matches being played on unused strips? They still may behave the same like it did in Eng vs Ind and Eng vs NZ matches. Since 1975 in the 11 WC editions only 9 times has a team batting second won a SF.

World Cup semi-finalists all are flawed

Revealed: Australia's Test XI to face Sri Lanka (as chosen by the fans)

Pujara boring? Really? If you want to watch fast paced cricket BBL is on. Isn’t the majority of the problems the current Australian Test batting lineup facing is because they don’t want to play or should I say incapable of playing the kind of test cricket you are terming as boring? And the result is there for everybody to see.

If this were a timeless Test, Cheteshwar Pujara could bat until July
