Instead of just a box of balls that are whatever overs old, maybe they should have seperate boxes e.g. 0-10, 11-20, 21-30 etc.
Another suggestion for slow over rates is to have a shot clock like Tennis introduced for in between points and if the bowling team goes over it then a free hit is awarded to the batter. Or if a batter is deliberately time wasting, dock them 5 runs.

Aus just needed one batter to step up in either innings and get a big 100. They continuously gave the advantage to England with silly shots over the series. England also bowled a lot better than our seamers. A series that got away for Australia

Opening puts a lot more pressure on him to perform. I’m definitely not defending Warner, I don’t think he should’ve been in the team in the first place. Someone who can blunt the new ball and tick over singles would be my prefernce, Renshaw….

I don’t blame warner for losing that test, openers get out cheaply sometimes. I blame the collapse in the first innings, shonky field settings and labs/smiths terrible shots in the 2nd innings.
If they do drop Warner, then it’s Harris last chance to cement a test spot, he’s done everything to earn his spot back. I remember JL and Haydos had their last chance around 30 and cemented their spots.

Marsh only bowled 6 overs too, ScoBo was having little impact. Marsh could have bowled a lot more overs.

Clarke was saying on radio that old trafford is probably a good spot to play head as opener as it will reverse and spin the longer the test goes on. So drop warner, head to open and put green at 6 or 7 with a license to attack.
