Fair enough but we’re fanatical about our footy.

How the AFL bringing back Origin could fix the league's biggest inequality - and why now is the perfect time

Good thing I had eaten much earlier.

Why is SA an impediment to this competition? I know you are aware of the record of Australian Football SOO and how many games each state’s win:loss status. Which begs why you ask the question? SA will have another wave of players come thru of that I am sure.

Fine.

Ashes 'would've been 4-0' if I'd been fit: Lyon stokes England rivalry as he sets sights on 2027 unfinished business

I think with spinner’s you’ve got to go with the guy who is able to impart deception to his deliveries. I reckon it’s more important than producing prodigious turn. To bowl slow is an art form and l just think Murphy is the Man. I think Rocchi is good and shows a lot of potential. My issue is does he possess the same capability for deception as Murphy?

Ofc, I could be completely wrong

There’s a bit of merit in the contemplation of this matter. I like because l think the better competitors will come from “The Free Australia Conference” moreso than the “Melbourne Resident Stodge Conference”.

No Victorians were hurt whilst I thought this up

I think both show promise but what l like about Murphy is his classical action. Rocchi is not quite as languid

The 3 bigger states are all on equal wins. These things are cyclical you know.

It’s worth consideration.

I couldn’t believe how many times that the Eagles and Crows had to play at Kardinia compared to the Magpies. Like mid 20s to 3 in the AFL era

Why not an Under 25?
There are a lot of signings that don’t get much action. In that stupid bye between the H&A and the Finals

Why are you here? SOO was initiated by Australian Football and was very successful till the clubs became too precious. We had 4 teams that competed successfully and it was this success that ironically cruelled the comp because the Vic teams wouldn’t let players go for matches not involving Victoria. RL only had 2 states. AF is the major football in WA, NT, SA, Tas & Vic.

And if you knew your sports history it was England invading so much of the world that promoted their games to the world. Australian Football originated in a country that wasn’t involved in invading the world in colonial times.

Yeah, but it’s the vibe of the thing

Six Points: AFL must act on Cameron concussion farce, 2024's best game, and the end of days arrives in Victoria

I live in hope.

The lead at each change as follows: 3pts, 2pts, 1pt & Draw. Has that ever happened?

Maguire is like the swagman, his is heard in every billabong. Even the last time l was at Galore.

I’m annoyed at that. It’s not leadership. €÷𰧣 😡

A great % is great. Ofc, wins too. But a great percentage means you know how to trounce. And trouncing is important come finsls

Both are bad and as bad.

So many competing thoughts but at the end of the day a young man has died. Commiserations to his family

The lower half leg or a shank of lamb, lamb steak, lion lamb chops, lamb cutlets, lamb forequarter chops, lamb flank, lamb yiros (not those disgusting doner kebabs), lamb mince, lamb pies and burgers from “Lamburger” Wellington Mall, NZ if they’re still there. Pretty much any thing Lamb or sometimes Hogget.

Footy Fix: The Dees have a massive Christian Petracca problem - there's only one of him

I’ve been contemplating this and l think it’s hard win overseas for most countries. That said, the fact we’ve held on tenuously, precariously the last couple of tours is better than losing there. I’m not sure of the numbers but overall the past 10 years or so the total aggregate is clearly in our favour. Despite our issues re captaincy, batting roster and bowling personnel issues we’ve managed to retain the Urn.

We’ve done just enough but as always the Aussie team has strived to be better and if we’re not tearing it up it can feel like failure or relative stagnation. At least that’s what it looks like to me.
