Your story is so spot on, when I first read the story written with obvious compliance of Wayne Smith with this anonymous source, it has started the backgrounding and undermining of a ex Queenslander who is doing great things for Australian Rugby.
Your observations of past politics, the number of Queenslanders in the Wallabies Squad and terrible treatment of a All Black/Queensland/Australia legend show at present a not surprising cowardly machinations still evident in the Australian/NSW Rugby.
It is seems to be the “Backgrounding” is a NSW trait not confined to NSW politicians.
