So….you want compliments or humility suggest you hold your breath and look at any Wallabies match…..you might go blue in the face.

'My heart breaks for him': Boks coach's message to Ian Foster is pure class as he bows out an unlucky loser

Yeah…..read it and weep…

'Mature, clinical and getting better every time': All Blacks time run perfectly as they hone in on fourth title

Where do you pick your grapes?

'Mature, clinical and getting better every time': All Blacks time run perfectly as they hone in on fourth title

If you didn’t bother watching the test what’s the point of your gripe?…..can only
assume you you watched it later (just so you can disseminate and whinge)
so why watch it at all…..

NZ View: 'Proper old school thumping hard to comprehend' as 'big black machine' smacks down Wallabies

Exactly right.
I watched the Ireland/NZ game on Sat night, outstanding play and result for Ireland….fierce
attack , bone-crunching defense ….skillfully led around the park by what’s his name.
Absolute master class.
The rules of the game as they stand now are appalling , I won’t dwell anymore on intercepts
as most (except those who benefit) would agree on its sheer stupidity…..I will say Referees
should be able to call it as they see it.
Head high /head contact tackles are another thing. I’ve read other comments in this segment
about what other readers and followers think , like me , most are very frustrated…especially
at very minor infractions , or even accidents blown up out of proportion .
Here we have all officials investigating , dissecting , analyzing , scrutinizing all to reach the inevitable conclusion after endless replays.
If we’re lucky , it’s a yellow card…..if we’re not , well….and they reach this conclusion by implementing some points system or somesuch , imagine that.
Now your fate is determined by the degree in which your offense was committed… on a sliding scale or similar….unbelievable .
Careless , dangerous , and others of similar ilk all deserve to be dealt with as they should be
without fear or favour.
With the modern player today ….being bigger , faster , fitter more physical in every way , most
are professionals and certainly do not go out there to deliberately maim or injure no matter what
the occasion .
Clean up the game by all means but at the end of day “stuff” happens….I can’t help feeling that
I’m being ripped off by sitting through a match watching mismatch of players ….either side
and don’t you feel something isn’t working right when you have a plethora of yellow cards still
with red cards now seemingly handed out like gift vouchers ….boy , ten minutes of watching
14 against 15 is a long time…no matter who you support.
Lower your tackling style indeed….I’ve only ever played Rugby Union in my lifetime and changes
have been implemented…some good , some …maybe not so much. I do know even if I were
playing today I would still not alter my tackling style….feeble though it was , just so the other guy
is safe and I’m not…..bugger that , I’ll go and play with my sister.!

'Game's out of control': Coaches, players, fans and refs are united by their hatred of the dumbest law in rugby

Being ‘neutral’ I’m gonna say that this year is going to be the Wallabies best shot at getting a hold of that elusive Bledisloe Cup.
I say this because I see nothing about NZ rugby to inspire confidence, with a probable kiwi line-up full of mediocre players… I don’t see any impact players.
(No Ritchie,no Keiran,no DC etc)
Maybe the All Blacks saving grace is, I don’t see any Aussie standouts either.

Rugby News: 'Don't think it's good enough' - surprise over Rebel's latest ban, Crusaders' 'hurtful' review, Tahs injury blow

Just about what I’d expect from a lopsided/ shortsighted view ……..gloat when we win…..crybabies
when we lose.
Then add some immigration sorrows to the mix…..along with some big brother inferiority
complex and that all leads to the inevitable conclusion,,,,those bloody Kiwis!
That’s right….blame the kiwis for everything….from jobs to sports….damned kiwis.
Why…they even have the cheek to invite themselves to be a part of our coaching staff
and indeed player squad ……where Polynesian kiwis make up a core group.
So your solution is to restructure everything…..anything….long as we can enjoy a win here and there, then we can say it’s a fairer system …..it must be because we now have parity, not because we play better , but because we can manipulate the system to accommodate us.
Well they don’t do that in:
Rugby League
Cricket
Soccer
AFL
……..and on it goes.
Toughen up or …..was going to say shut up,but everyone has the right to an opinion….
so say we all.

How to fix Australian rugby's trans-Tasman problem

Well done Bokke!!!! Played to your strengths and I was mildly surprised with the teams fitness levels….. congratulations, you’ve done you and your countrymen proud.
England…..well , they were pretty well strangled out of the game and at no stage did they look threatening.I must admit to feeling satisfaction with seeing that smirk wiped off Eddie Jones’
face,as nowhere did he show any humility / humbleness in any previous games,so well done Rassie.

CHAMPIONS: Springboks strike late to win third Rugby World Cup

Well….all your predictions just got destroyed by a totally ruthless, oppressive All Black tide that resembled nothing like the team/s defeated last time by Ireland.
I for one was puzzled by every comment alluding to those games (Ireland wins 2 out of 3) ….who
cares,it’s now that matters …last 2 years count for nothing .You don’t get points for games gone by!
This side is not impressive?…..You are hard to please.Steve Hansen is Steve Hansen is what makes him almost set apart from other coaches , because he can see things only his analytical mind can see and if a player is picked to play it’s for a very good reason.
Retallick , Mo’Unga…vulnerable?….not.World class performance I’d say.
Ireland…flat out of sorts..really?They were made to look ordinary because they were overwhelmed…or did they cling to the belief of the last 3 times.

All Blacks vs Ireland: Rugby World Cup quarter-final preview and prediction

You must’ve been watching another game….
Only won by five….well how much was the Australian win last week?
And man mountain this and man mountain that….well fitness levels were being sorely tested with these mountains
about to be further tested next week….
Talking of possession …….what possession, the Australians usually squandered away or just fair set got out muscled
by a very determined Ireland side who clearly did their homework, formulated a plan and executed it in a very workmanlike manner.
Then you mention referees and penalties….
The fact that Australia scored three tries to two (one a penalty try) and still lost by five points (luckily not twelve) begs the question, how does that happen?Let’s seeeee…..hmmmm,perhaps ill discipline and just dumb play come to mind.
And no ,Cheika should not be happy with what he’s seen…Bledisloe coming up,World cup next year, need to develop skills and smarts …..mostly forward pack I mean.Backs are ok though,still…..a bit of work to do yet.

Wallabies deserve praise despite losing to Ireland

Cheika must be an interviewers ordeal……after yet another loss, he comes across as;
Ungracious in defeat…..nothing good to say about the “other side”
Blames refereeing decisions……only when it goes against them
Gets very belligerent when some hard hitting queries come his way…….
Compare the Team Coaches boxes during the matches….pretty ugly in the Wallaby box, right or wrong!
Always stating the obvious ….with monotonous regularity,’yeah mate ,if we could’ve ,we would’ve,and we might’ve ….
I don’t know,I heard he is a good motivator, perhaps he should get someone else to do his interviews…haha.
Lets face it ,he needs a lesson in humility and show a bit of respect when addressing others especially his peers.

Saturday's Aussie winner was Sydney club rugby, not the Wallabies

What a pathetic bunch…..[Australian Media] ,crybabies ….or even worse , don’t mention it when they lose,or gloaters when they win, with really nothing else in the sporting world unless Aussie is involved, or even better….. winning.
Well….that’s the impression I get, and I see nothing in the current media line-up to convince me otherwise.
Last week I’m looking through the news channels to see the latest updates on the Parker/Ruiz match, nothing.
Plenty of talk about Jeff Horn etc,who had a good win and good on him,but let’s be clear …..he was an undercard and not the
main attraction as Channel 9’s idiot sports presenter in Auckland kept alluding to.
I almost felt sorry for Wally Lewis back in HQ,(was he gagged?] imagine reporting half a story and trying to be convincing.
Here we are crowning a new World Champion and……nothing.
OK,that’s my beef. On the match itself,I actually think a draw was probably a fairer indication as I felt Ruiz for the most part just brushed off most of Parkers shots but didn’t step it up enough.
What a tuff guy he is,actually belies his physique, and I notice he wasn’t puffing so much after round 12 either.
Parker had more shots, how many connected?but I felt he also left a lot out there in the ring.Very quick hand speed, and looks like he can take a few shots as well.Still needs more power.
As I understand it ,judges are from neutral countries with both camps having no bearing on final decision……..just the crowd??

Boxing's replenished heavyweight roster is causing excitement

And who said I’m a Kiwi…

Cheika: I will not drop Cooper, Foley

Apparently he stands his ground every time ,takes nothing back, and does not back down to anyone /thing,just like when he was playing.

Cheika: I will not drop Cooper, Foley

Yeah…. well if I have to remind you of his name (Mat Burke) it begs the question, how many Burkes’ do you see commentating on that channel .Rant you say?Just calling it as I see it!

Cheika: I will not drop Cooper, Foley

Who said anything about one eyed NZ view

Cheika: I will not drop Cooper, Foley

WHY?

Cheika: I will not drop Cooper, Foley

I don’t have pay TV,so I am ‘forced’ to watch channel 10’s coverage of recent Bledisloe cup events. They not only supply match coverage, they also supply commentators who,by the time kick off comes totally forget to do just that…..commentate!
What a pathetic ‘call’ on both games by so called Rugby knowledgeable’ s who quite frankly, must have been watching different matches……certainly seeing and making appalling calls where by kick off it’s become blatantly obvious where their allegiance lies .
You certainly get that impression when they stop saying Wallabies and start saying ‘WE’.
And where did they get that Mr Rugby (Gordon Bray) from? His pathetic and meaningless tidbits on player profiles in the midst of a high energy, beautifully executed piece of play leaves you scratching your head in amazement!
Greg Burke, brilliant player back in the day……useless. No help from the rest either, with the only saving grace………if I had pay TV I’d have to listen ton Phil Kearns &Co,errrr.HMPGQFDHpppppp

Cheika: I will not drop Cooper, Foley

Excellent read Harry……..Especially like the trip home after the game.Something missing, watching Telly alright…

Losing in London: A Springboks fan's long day in the city

You got that bit right, when I was playing I don’t recall rubbing shoulders or bumping heads against anyone of great wealth.
Indeed it was a struggle to pay club fees and subscriptions never mind about equipment.

And while we’re at it , who invented the phrase Rah-Rah and what the hell does it mean?
Just asking that’s all…..

Running rugby has as much to do with culture as it does with coaching

Hmmm…..yes you are right about the All Blacks ability to adapt to any style and it appears their most favoured is the
fast, open, high octane stuff which they seem to employ to good effect.

Just when you thought you’ve seen everything , at around about the last quarter, they crank it up some more and
…..are they on drugs or something?…. well, opposition teams find it hard to keep up!

Witness the final…..Wallabies were running on empty, bravely mebbe , but still not much juice left in the tank.
Didn’t help with the draw but that’s no excuse, they are professionals, management should played a role in
doing just that! (Managing)

All Blacks however had a different ride to the finals.
Without being disrespectful to other teams in their draw, they understood after careful analysis they were not
going to have the same ‘hard road,’ so management had to be creative whilst being mindful of all the flak they
were receiving (mostly media) in order to gain some benefits form these matches.

So it was in the final, unlike the semi-final where their ability to change styles once again, and where conditions
dictated the style/gameplan , unconvincing winners mebbe but it’s now written in the ledgers.

Wallabies were very fortunate the full time whistle blew, I think the other guys could’ve cranked it up a couple
gears more just quietly now…

Running rugby has as much to do with culture as it does with coaching

John….see if you can bend this
Guilty of holding a test position in a crucial final, probably at the expense of someone
in a better position unencumbered by injuries….
Guilty of dereliction of duties insofar as positional play was concerned
As for Rugby Championship…..wasn’t a big influence this year….NSW lost badly.
John Eales medal…..wot??
Tackles, assists, busts…..so what? There is still no RWC mug in the cupboard!

Folau to have surgery, out of rugby for four months

Yeah well all well and good last week….
Ability…..Well they paid the price for fielding a team carrying injuries.
Form…..what form?It was clear to me some players were down on form, especially fitness.
Stats…….yes you can take your statistics and bend them any which way you want.I think stats
are just that !

Folau to have surgery, out of rugby for four months

Probably a throwback from the ‘Guy’ who say’s Pocock is the best player in the world.
Now I hope……waiting with bated breath ,running out of breath, turning blue….the experts
who predicted a massacre by Aussie Backrow Trio quit making stupid statements based
on mostly Media hype, or last weeks game or some thing akin to mass……..well you get it!

Folau to have surgery, out of rugby for four months

Yeah….me too
