1. We lost quite a few players to training issues last year as well – I think there was supposed to be a review into it.
2. Selecton, strategy, everything. I’m pretty confident we will be found out against Wales and deservedly. Normally I don’t blame the coach as much as others do, but in this case it is. Eddie has lost the plot, he is out of his depth.

Eddie Jones chose Carter Gordon to drive the Wallabies at the World Cup - he needs to back him in

A better mix of old heads would have been better – will this young squad learn how to manage games on there own without guidance or just by making mistakes and hopefully “learning” from them?

What is this new system?

This is no time for X-factor: The Wallabies' challenge is to find a structure to out-structure super-structured Wales

😁 Sure – I’d have been a lot happeri with a draw then a loss.

Stan issue – happens to me all the time (I close /squint my eyes when the game launches and quickly rewind back). So crap.

Objective Observer – DR win % is better than EJ’s modern era!
– DR: 38%
– EJ: 14% (1/7)

100% agree, the buck stops with McLennan. We should not be surprised by the poor form of Eddie.

I’m not as optimistic about Wales (and I am an optimist!). I hope you are right.
I think broadly we have good players who are capable of winning big games. Sure, I could argue a couple of selections that are left field!
But it’s our structure, strategy and cohesion that is killing us.
Edit: grammar/spelling

We’ll never know. But if Rennie had stayed on we would have won this game. His team was well drilled and got the basics right.

Hell, he might have even picked Gordon, but had enough stability and structure to let him shine.

Your right it’s not ill-discipline but it’s more complex than just work ethic or execution. Our attack systems and structures are not upto par – most of thr turnovers happened when support was missing or able to get to the breakdown in time.

Agree, I think Eddie is drowning. He made a couple of big wild calls hoping for a miracle.

– We weren’t still “in it” until the final siren, at best we would have managed a lucky draw.
– We’ll never know if Skeleton / Tupou / Tate would have made a difference, but their replacements for the most part didn’t do a bad job.

There’s an argument for the kicking duel, but you have to back it up with the skills and execution. The chances of us marching up the field 60 metres piggy backing off penalties seemed slim give the games progress.

'Eddie got found out': Jones in spotlight as 'ferocious' Fiji leave Wallabies RWC hopes hanging by thread in 69 year first

I don’t get the NW hate, he was solid enough in his 60mins. Issues were accuracy at the break down, back three decision making and execution and mid field defence.

It was a mystery to me as well… if he couldn’t do a good job with England and their resources the chances of him being successful with Australia seemed slim.

Great article and analysis – two lines jumped out at me
1. …in the first pool match, the Wallabies lifted 40 kicks into the Georgian backfield. And won.
2. But the Cup pedigree? The nerve?

With the right coaching, strategy and training the Wallabies can be real contenders in whatever style they focus on – and I’ll cheer them on.

But right now they don’t know what they are doing… and us keyboard warriors are debating 1:1 selections which only take you so far.

English way, Welsh way, Brumby way or the 'fight Pacific fire with a Pacific inferno' way: Eddie's four options vs Fiji

Not surprised! Maul attack is non existent in 2023. Maul defense is passable – but I put that down to individual skillset not coaching.

In violent disagreement graymatter! I almost wish Nic White wasn’t selected for this game so he doesn’t become the blame goat for a very potential loss. I love my Wallabies, but Mr Jones is making it difficult with his selections and “strategy”.

Our maul attack has really gone backwards since 2022… defence is broadly ok. Might just be better than Fiji, but Wales? I don’t like our chances
