It always amazes me how religion can cloud peoples intelligence and empathy. Can you imagine treating your own child as a lesser human being just because of who they are, or is it just okay to insult other peoples kids?

Ralph here you wish to be very specific on whether a word is used a verb or a noun. However earlier when someone said that what folau quoted wasn’t in the bible you stated – “It does however, capture the essence” ……….. so dare I suggest in this case it doesn’t matter whether its used as a verb or a noun – we get the essence of what is being said.

And what of those who’s parents share the views of Folau? Like someone mentioned earlier which reminded me, my mother was beaten as a child by the nuns for being left handed as it was a sign of the devil. I would place the thought that gays are going to hell right alongside that backward thinking – and why should it be tolerated when it causes harm to others. We should be calling out this nonsense, because not everyone has parents like you that obviously will support their kids no matter what.

Those too afraid to risk anything, be it thru actions or exposing thoughts that might leave them vulnerable, are always the first to deride others brave enough to do so. It’s a shame that many peoples response to not understanding something is to try to tear it down.

Tander – live your life what ever way you chose by all means …. just don’t expect your employer to have to fit in with those choices. That’s not how it works in the real world. Haven’t mentioned religion, gay, rugby or folau – is that objective enough for ya?

Maybe you could do with making decisions with some emotion – maybe exercise a little emotional empathy and think how these words regarding gay people cause real sadness and harm. And grow some balls and stop hiding behind your book. How anyone could treat a fellow human being as a sinner because of their sexuality and say it’s Gods will, is pathetic and cowardly.

@Joy – And how many think gay people are going to hell? I think the response in disagreeing with IFs comments is well in line with today’s society – or else maybe i’m just dealing with a more accepting group of people than the “christians” seem to be.
