good column, with plenty to digest for breakfast. pretty much everybody should be happy with this yrs super rugby comp. its very unpredictable, which is what every comp should aim for. there has been no whingeing about players stood down, and even the refs havent been blamed (mostly) for results. Rugby aus has got itself between a rock(vic gov) and a hard place(tax office), and I cant see an easy out. and thats not thinking about tv and what one less team does for content. hmmm.

Ive thought about what you have written geoff,re frank lomani going back for his hat. didnt see it, so have a couple of questions. was he just a spectator in the crowd,?i.e. not there as an official drua rep,etc. NOT wanting to re-open the folau can of worms, but individual free speech etc. I realise Im in danger of dancing on a pin head here, and dont in any way condone his on,or off feild antics, but as a private citizen , surely as long as its not an obscene gesture, he is allowed to wave his arms around?doesnt make him any less of a tool.
