disagree on Macarthur, they were a logical and popular choice

Have Macarthur FC simply stalled or are they in serious strife?

No doubt you guys are doing a lot right, just one area. Better to be you than several other teams who need work across the board

What happened? A-League Round 20

Unless it’s not a theory

Sydney FC have a vision, but do their A-League rivals?

It’s funny because it’s true (or we know that’s what they will try to claim.)

Can Steve Corica get the better of Ange Postecoglou in Yokohama?

well Western Sydney shut off much of their talent pool

Can Steve Corica get the better of Ange Postecoglou in Yokohama?

wasn’t you original point the crowds were 13,000? If we are going to be pedantic.

AusStadiums

it doesn’t, it is 12,400 I checked

The code wars are here, so let's have at it

Because the original comment was regarding Sydney based teams, wouldn’t it only be right to therefore count Giants Sydney match averages and not combine them with the Canberra crowds as well?

The code wars are here, so let's have at it

wasn’t suncorp built for someone? wasn’t the Gabba? etc. Stadiums are always built for someone

Think the A-League has poor crowds? Think again

Not offended, not trying to be offended, but your comparisons are rather lazy, the last one illustrates that perfectly. AAMI is boutique by AFL standards, so you are viewing it through a lens that is completely irrelevant to the purpose of the stadium (you said it yourself) why would you view AAMI through the AFL lens, it is ridiculous. I suspect you view it through that lens because either that is all you know, or you are doing it to continue your perceived view that AFL is the dominant sport. Honestly I can’t be bothered finding out, you are clearly limited in your ability to argue any other viewpoint.

“The Bankwest stadium – might be the best boutique soccer venue in the country.”

I suppose Craven Cottage in your eyes is a boutique stadium?
How about the stadium of light?
The old White Hart Lane?
Selhurst Park?

In your mind they are all Boutique Stadiums? LOL obsessed with size

The code wars are here, so let's have at it

so size appears to be a determining factor for you, there is nothing boutique about Western Sydney Stadium, but I guess your choice of words is rather telling on your mindset. Obsessed with size.

Rather simple Auskick is not counted or should not be counted as any sort of competition, it is simply a program. MiniRoos is a competition club based.

Ausplay rates Football as having a higher number of participants than AFL, deal with it. Move on.

More people play Football than AFL it is simply the way things are, once you accept that you an live a more fulfilling life

The code wars are here, so let's have at it

You didn’t read as far as I was aware, on the indoor cricket?, but lets ignore that for a moment. Again the basic understanding of MinirRoos is missing, but thank you for confirming that Auskick is simply a training session with a game at the end.

Miniroos in Under 6 and 7 have no goal keepers, under 8’s and 9’s do, so do under 10,11 and now 12’s play MiniRoos in some associations (as well as SAP) so once again you have no understanding where you claim it is heavily modified. I suppose the AFLW is heavily modified in your language then, interesting enough we consider womens football different to you.

So the fact you confirm AusKick as being a training program is all we needed to hear, it isn’t a game it is simply training. My son trains football 3 nights a week, after Thursday sessions they play a game between the two squads, but that is training it isn’t a game, that is played on the weekend.

btw same son, since he was 4 has played home and away miniroos games on weekend, trained midweek played weekends against other clubs in a home and away season. so do some basic research before you claim to know, or preface LIKE I DO when i don’t know.

what a very strange comment “share the rectangle venues and these venues tend to be the poor cousins of the oval stadia built for the local football code”

Western Sydney Stadium is by far the best stadium in Australia, it is absolutely perfect to view sport there, Optus in Perth may come close but that is open for debate. I can’t think of an other stadium than would come close to those 2.

So can’t see why you would say poor cousins, what are you actually comparing? Size, why, what makes the size a factor? Unless you are a teenage boy most of us have moved on from focusing on the size of anything.

Axe
That’s what many people on this tab have been saying for years. Maybe you need to hang around here a bit you will be surprised what you learn.

Relax, the A-League isn't going to collapse

How many of those 13k where from Canberra games?

The code wars are here, so let's have at it

You don’t actually understand what MiniRoos is do you? It is not the same as Auskick where you literally just have a coaching session and claim it’s a game. MiniRoos from 5-11 is the actual pathways program. It is run within grassroots clubs, it is part of the National Curriculum, it is small sided football as practiced in countries all around the world, the aim is to develop a players touch and basic skill (something I guess AFL players don’t understand) Once again you dismiss something simply because you don’t have a clue.

You also don’t have a clue about Futsal, to try and claim it is like Indoor Cricket is laughable. As far as I am aware indoor cricket doesn’t have a world cup. Futsal does, it also has an Asian and UEFA Cup it also has professional leagues so it is nothing like Indoor Cricket, my advice before you comment on something have a clue.

I didn’t realise the internet was something to ‘get’. I do ‘get’ that you have to be a particularly sad and lonely person to spend your day on a board about a sport you clearly have no interest in.

I noticed you ignored the part about Batmans Hill, I assumed you knew that was in Melbourne and therefore just ignored it.

The code wars are here, so let's have at it

Biggest surprise is that Sydney FC didn’t find a way to have a player chosen in team of the week, just because…..

A-League Round 18: Team of the week

You missed Nem’s point. If I follow a club in Football who gets relegated, I still follow that club, but now my average attendance isn’t on that list above. But I still attend football games every other week. That is the point

Think the A-League has poor crowds? Think again

You do know that Hurling and Gaelic style games were being played in Australia since shortly after the first fleet. They didn’t have to ‘live’ in Ireland to see it. Plenty of references to early 1800’s games being played in Hyde and Moore Park by the Irish on Easter Sunday. There is even reports I believe from the 1840’s of games being played on Batman’s Hill in Melbourne by the Irish. So don’t make the mistake that just because you don’t know that it happened that it never happened.

Those that drew up the rules didn’t need to be in Ireland to see Gaelic Games being played.
