can’t understand the kicking issue.. as kids we spent ages and ages kicking and playing touch.. forcem backs etc.. torpedos.. was second nature..
me thinks there maybe too many mirrors in the weights rooms these days at ballymore.. 😉

there is no doubt we have some good young ones coming, as we always seem to do.. be nice to get someone to take them up to the next level..

i too look back with fondness on the weeknight training sessions.. and studying/working during the day..
also to have the state and wallabies come back to train and play with their clubs on a regular basis.. was nothing better than when those lads came back to training and muck in..
but those days have passed and ain’t coming back..
the rugby ethos i hope will always stay true.. it might get twisted or shaped a bit different.. but it’s core is still there..

the kiwis have had a number of oz coaches over there in various roles..
they just happen to also have some fantastic coaches in their own right, like their players and therefore when they say best man for the job of coaching nz, the best man usually is a new zealander, especially over the past 15 years.. over the 30 years of my rugby playing/watching there would probably have only been macqueen who would have got a run for the job out of all the candidates in the world..
they are a conveyor belt of quality and class in players and coaches.. to be respected and admired..
