Rate him he did a phenomenal job with the chiefs particularly in taking an already talented squad to having the belief to actually win competitions.

Before that two U20 WC’s and doing a great job with Glasgow with a limited squad. I’m based in the UK these days and I know a few people from Glasgow and they all absolutely loved him.

Tactically he’s leap years ahead Of Cheika and doesn’t get have the reputation where we’d have to throw buckets of cash to secure him.

Who would you want? I’m not set on him but think it would be a great acquisition.

Wallabies coach Michael Cheika resigns after quarter-final loss

Dave Rennie please!

Yep shows what type of person he is. Pig-headed!

And I thought it went forward but it was marginal I could understand it not being given.

Seeing red: Wales into semi-final after controversial thriller

Agree with all your points bar boring. Thought that was a great game that I was barracking for France to hold on.
But the french did what the french do and bottled it.

Agree it stunk when he was hired and the people behind the scenes who speed those seeds need to go.

England eliminate Wallabies in World Cup quarter-final

Arguably it won’t be. But for me the culture Cheika instilled is almost as bad if not worse than his results.

Lancaster whilst slightly out of his depth at international level hadn’t infected the 2015 England team with the negativity that we see from camp wallaby, players and coach alike.

Dave Rennie. We get him, we’ll be serious contenders in 2023

England eliminate Wallabies in World Cup quarter-final

Mate England most certainly played intelligent conservative rugby and there’s nothing wrong with that. They picked a team (Slade) that were suited to defend the wallabies and they were happy to let us run aimlessly at them. Our variation in attack is limited so there Rush defence could pick our runner and hit them behind the gain line. They didn’t have to play adventurous but when they had the opportunity they were clinical and twisted the knife.

Credit where credits due they outplayed us today, with a strategically superior game plan.

On today’s evidence I’m still picking the AB’s but it will be a cracker next week.

Congrats to England sadly there’s a distance between the levels the two sides are at and they deserve to be in the final given there form since 2015.

There has been a lot of talk about Australia just not having the cattle but whilst we lack a bit of depth, I strongly disagree. We can put out a 23 or 30 man squad that is competitive with any team in the world.

Our biggest problem (not going into RA problems as that’s another discussion) rests squarely with the most inept coach in international rugby.

What worries me most is as Cheika exits stage right, how difficult is it going to be to turn this rabble around for the next coach. Most importantly not only has Cheika regressed our national squad beyond belief he has instilled a “toxic blame everyone else culture” in the team that I fear will hang around with some of these players. Laughable considering 12 months ago he was publically rambling on about a no excuses culture.

In regards to today’s game the sad part was it went exactly to script. We played with endeavour and tried to run the ball but without direction or accuracy. Trying to play rugby consistently in your own 22 wont win over fans if you’re constantly dropping the ball and gifting points to your opposition. I don’t know how many times they scored from poor exits which is entirely within our control.

Interestingly on the UK commentary Woodward and Dallaglio were scathing of Australia’s tactics, or lack there of. They readily admitted how dangerous Australia could be if only they had a cohesive game plan.

Oh well I’ve been waiting a long time for the day Cheika resigns. We’ve officially bottomed out and the next direction is up.

All his pressers are pathetic.

Wales withstand Wallabies' second-half fightback

If you jump from in the field of play and tap it back it’s fine.

This is what’s so frustrating so many posters ripping in to the refs who don’t even know the rules.

Wales withstand Wallabies' second-half fightback

Stop moaning red was poor but poor decisions made both ways.

Wallabies once again only have themselves to blame.

Wales withstand Wallabies' second-half fightback

It wasn’t I was screaming bloody murder at the tv that he was offside but UK footage showed a slowed down angle and he’s onside by a millimetre and times his run perfectly.

Still don’t understand why it wasn’t checked though given how close it was.

Wales withstand Wallabies' second-half fightback

Hahaha you’re as delusional as Cheika. The rugby public are sick of Cheika and the pathetic environment within the team he has created.

Wales played good clinical rugby and deserved the win as even though we were more threatening we made a ton of errors and you can’t get away with that.

To blame the ref, as you and many others are, is well off the mark and part of the reason we have gone backwards over the last half a decade.

Wales withstand Wallabies' second-half fightback

Doesn’t it.

Michael Cheika sticks solid with winning Wallabies, confirms team for Bledisloe 2

If he gets to a ton of tests he’ll have to go down as one of the weakest centurions ever. In saying that I don’t subscribe to the amount of grief he gets on here. Decent defender (but is often slow to get there), very good set piece technician, especially as a scrummager and hits a lot of rucks. Could have always been better at carrying and just winning the collisions in contact but it was apparent early that that element of his game would never really develop.

When he hangs up his boots whilst he will never be considered a Wallaby legend he has been a great servant to Aus rugby and has never shirked or not given it his all.

In theory I like what you say but I wouldn’t throw Wright in for his starting debut in Eden Park, just too big of a risk!

Agree with all of this. Ultimately rugby is a simple game forwards win matches and if you can win the majority of collisions you’re in a good spot to secure the game. For once the wallabies did this for 80 minutes and especially up front and they deserve their just rewards.

But next week is a whole nother kettle of fish, I hope cheika doesn’t make any changes as we aren’t in the luxurious position of being able to experiment. Continuity and building partnerships in key areas are more important than tinkering with the team.

I think you’ll find the tight five will get the most beers brought for them tonight

Tight five (the engine room) won that game!

Wallabies beat All Blacks after dominant second half in Bledisloe 1

Classy and pretty accurate summary. I think the speed of the all blacks realignment has been a little off the pace. I’ve always thought that is an over looked element of their game that has for years separated them from the rest of the pack.

Tonight they frequently found static one off runners with no formation or structure outside them.

This is something they’ll need to fix.

Honestly what are you on about? Folau is nothing short of a coward. He transgressed (deliberately or naively, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt) and then hid when RA were attempting to reach him to resolve the issue.

Having bent over backwards to accommodate Folau after his first transgression last year, RA really had no choice whatsoever particularly when Folau refused to show up when summoned to discuss the issue.

How you and others try and flip those blatant facts into your own convenient narrative is (whilst impressive) also extremely dishonest.

Why I donated to Israel Folau - and why I will again

Based on what you’ve written above I wouldn’t hire you to scrub my toilet let alone advise me on a contract dispute.
