Charlie Gamble is a better 7 now anyway. Was the form 7 last year for the tahs. He is more combative than Hooper, so he will do well i reckon.

Jez well coach the players that a carry is only as good as his supports and cleaners. It means you need blokes who are willing to follow and clean and get dirty and shift bodies alot more and alot more effectively. Simple in principal, but it is very lacking in practice with the Wallabies lately. It was very close in 2021, but not before 2016-2020, 2022.
Not sure which players would suit that dirty thankless and tiresome role. Pocock was one of the good uns, but he is gone. Suggestions?

Carries in tight mean nothing if you have a consistently weak breakdown to follow up from a good carry. The Wallabies need more workers and breakdown mongrels not carriers. It`s the reason they are world ranked between 7 to 9th over the last 5 years. Too many carriers not enough workers at the breakdown. The backrow has to not worked over the past 5 years.

Wright would be worth a try as a test 6, he is better on ball than Holloway Hanigan or Swinton.Just as good in the lineout as them. All 4 aren`t really ball great carriers, but Liam offers more at the breakdown. That is where the Aussies have been bashed up since Fardy and Pocock retired. You win the breakdown, you go close to winning the game.

Waratahs have so much depth in every position, what a roster, so many Wallabies and players who will be possibly get capped this year.. Jorgenson, Pietsch, Harris, Edmed and Harrison and Holz. With the Tahs it`s not who is a Wallaby, it`s who isnt. They will top the Aussie conference as the Brumbies have lost key players Simone Sio and Faaingaa`.Force will surprise many, Rebels will struggle with injuries to Pone Philip and Leota and the Reds will get the wooden spoon as injured Tupou is the REDS.

Losing to Italy was the killer blow for me. The Wallabies losing to a 15th ranked team is not acceptable at all. Rennie has ruined our great record against them. He was thoroughly outcoached by his opposite . He needs to go back to provincial coaching and continue his learnings. Right now he is so far out of his depth at test level.

I hear ya . I was at a mates 30th at his place and ( they were leaguies so had fox) and had no interest in game and were out back on the deck having beers, i kept going inside to have a look, but after they reached 40 + i went back outside and never had a look at the tele again.
