Why are Clarkson and Fagan expected to defend themselves when they have idea who made these allegations? It’s pure cowardice to hide behind anonymity and not identify yourselves. Why is the public not allowed to know?
What possible redress can Clarkson and Fagan expect if they are exonerated? A public apology from their accusers? No.
Either they did or they did not make these statements. How can their reputations possibly be restored when you have an enquiry that could last twelve months?
Everyone is treating these accusations as facts, hence the calls on how to remedy this situation. What happened to innocent until proven guilty?

Cultural genocide? Aboriginal people enjoy all the benefits of western culture and no aboriginal person today lives an aboriginal lifestyle. Why has the lifespan of aboriginals doubled since 1788? We must be doing something right.

Greysey, calm down. You think racism is treating people differently because of their race? We do that all the time. What about aboriginal health services? In case you don’t know, that is provided for people of one race only. Do you endorse such race based policies? Presumably you do.
I have no problem describing aboriginal culture as long as long as it’s accurate. Sadly, we are only allowed to talk about the good bits, or rather the pc version of it that dominates everything. One of the things that appalled the early explorers was the terrible way aboriginal women were treated, an aspect of culture that continues to this day.
Of course the list of things that we would not have if Britain or any other country had never settled Australia is endless. No Roar for one thing.
Why didn’t the AFL put race aside and select the three best singers in Australia? Every fan would cheer that.

Exactly. Let’s get some absolute facts first. At the moment these are anonymous allegations, nothing more.

Wait a second folks. Without any independent verification of these anonymous allegations they are just allegations. It’s far too easy to thrown around racism clams without any backup. What is racism? It’s the belief that one race is superior to others. Does Clarkson believe that? I doubt it. You are not racist because you demand the same from everyone, regardless of race. You are not racist if you don’t like someone’s culture. In general, unfortunately, we are a racist country but not in the way most people think. Why does the AFL need a race based indigenous round? No other race is given that privilege. Three ‘First Nation’ performers are singing on GF day, chosen not because of their singing ability but because of who they’re related to. That’s real racism.
Until the absolute facts come out I would urge fans to withhold their judgment in the above matter.

Since when does the AFL give a damn about what fans think? They never have. Like practically everything else the AFL does, no one asked for it and no one likes it. A case in point, the GF half time ‘entertainment.’ How many AFL fans want to be preached at by Goanna about being on ‘stolen land’? Anyone? Virtue signaling at its finest. If the AFL really believes that we really on aboriginal land then why aren’t they pushing to hand over all venues to aboriginal groups? A host of ‘First Nations’ singers were selected because of their race. Isn’t that racism? How many fans think racism is okay? None. How many AFL fans demanded Welcome to Country ceremonies at matches? Remember these occur prior to the national anthem. No doubt as to who’s in charge here. A group representing 3% of Australians. I for one, will be booing my heart out.
No one should be under any illusion that the opinion of fans holds any sway with the AFL who prefer to tell people what to think.

I hate to break it to you Mary but rugby fans are far more concerned about violent crime than ‘Pride’ round. Instead, how about a ‘Victims of crime’, round? Equally they are actually worried about being ripped off by the taxman. A taxpayer round maybe.
The real issue here is the intolerance displayed to those who do not embrace and celebrate homosexuality/transexuality. The solution to this ‘problem’ is to allow those who don’t embrace homosexuality and transexuality to freely say so on their jumpers. Why does it matter that some players don’t? Forcing anyone to believe something is tyranny and is counterproductive. Pride activists can celebrate all they want but don’t criticize those who disagree with you. Isn’t that freedom of thought?
