No I’m not, but the club’s in question, with the exception of Jackson, have one thing in common – let alone 3 things on common. It’s how the system works. I’ll accept it.

How Richmond's proving a Tiger can change its stripes

RCD plays when and if he’s up to it, for now he’s behind Dow and there ain’t room for both. And just flag they did debut 7 last yr, and one already in 2022.

How Richmond's proving a Tiger can change its stripes

Another angle, given Cotchin, Riewoldt, Edwards are probably in their last season (according to most), and who knows about Dusty, either way that is a huge amount of cap coming off (also add in Caddy). They’ve been good at the trade table over the era, they could pick the eyes out of the FA/trade mkt.

How Richmond's proving a Tiger can change its stripes

reckon you can mark this day down as the Suns turning point, very similar to when Lions stopped the annual player departure back 2017/8. Also hope this gets media off Dew’s case, he’s clearly doing something the players are on board with.

Suns young gun Ben King makes decision on future

clean out of footy dept/assistants was a key, and was behind Dimma megalomaniacal 2016.

AFL 2022 Radar: 'Brisbane keep failing on the big finals stage'

The Suns decade was shot from the moment they recruited/imported a senior bunch who were never going to set the right standards for the club (ie…draftees). That said they now have a group for 23/4yo and under players who want to be there with a real will to succeed, and I liken it to Bris. 4yrs back when players stayed and big name recruits arrived. It’s big year for Dew, GC has plenty of talent and it’s a super appealing coaching role if it opened up.

AFL 2022 Radar: 'If Gold Coast were a factory, all they'd produce is sadness'

If this all gets proven it’s a pretty simple decision for a new coach undertaking a rebuild. He’s had enough chances to grow up, despite his talent this is not the element you build around. Melb and Richmond exited highly rated players, which was questioned at the time, who by accounts were at best a distraction to the group and in the end it made both sides better in the long run.

One charge dropped, but De Goey still to face court over New York arrest

from what I’ve been told the stand, given it’s old and wooden, has been deemed a major fire hazard and as such can’t hold supporters (or a very limited amount). really no way around this if the club hopes to attract larger crowds, if that ever happens again, for AFLW and VFL games, given one side of the ground would essentially be closed off. tricky one for the club I understand.

'Proud history is under siege': The Tigers of old deserve better

yey whippet prob not right as he is tall, but he does get pushed around at VFL level. Still he shows a bit, good prospect with plenty of mobility, just not sure he’s ready at AFL level.

Richmond need more options in the ruck

Agree on Pickett but Samson not sure, he’s a whippet and needs time, Nic Nat will push him to wherever he wants to.

Richmond need more options in the ruck

Only time Sheil is a star midfielder is when people refer to the Cotchin incident.

Another failed season for West Coast, the perennial underachievers

Yep recall that. As a Tiger appointing KB, and then his personal 2 decade exile post axing. favorite sons coaching 1. too much expectation/pressure 2. hard to remove & 3. rarely a civil breakup. Best situation for the Pies is there seems to plenty of candidates and not many (none?) competing clubs this year.

Sorry Nathan Buckley, but it's over

bringing back the favorite son to coach rarely ends well, but boards keep on doing it.

Sorry Nathan Buckley, but it's over

I despise Carlton, but the weekly “it’s all over” arguments for teams that get brought out to fill print, radio and TV footy content is farcical at best. There is no story here at 2-3 against the opposition they’ve played, if they turn 4-7 then yey. End of the day, footy club resurrections take a lot longer than we all think.

Why are we bashing Carlton again?

nup they have played this way for 5yrs+. the slow methodical ball movement is built around getting that hard zone set up behind ball perfectly suiting kardinia pk pork sausage shape. (hard to do at G hence the trouble they have with Tigers) Forward pressure leading to dump kick marked by Stewart, Henderson, Blicavs (& previously Taylor). The 2016 exit of Caracella to Tigers was around him wanting quicker movement but Scott resisted so he departed. If Tom Hawkins went to Richmond/Port or WC he’d kick 80+ a year, it’s gotta be frustrating for him waiting for that ball to get down there.

Questions don't need to be asked of Geelong yet... but they're coming

Suns should get Rance out of “retirement” to steady/teach the backline, that would put them in place to compete next year. They are not far away, and in a year or so, a list which is better than the other up and comers.

Why Sunny expectations should be tempered

has to be Clarko on the back on Rd23 this year? or that just Eagles with one of the great gags in AFL history.
