This is no reflection on Rob Leeota and it’s great he’s been able to achieve what he has so far in his career. But I would genuinely like to see all of these passionate Victorian rugby fans he speaks of. When I look at the games, I dont see anybody. Keeping the Rebels afloat for the benefit of the Victorian Rugby community at face value seems like a noble goal, but it would help A LOT if this same community would attend a game!

If there isn’t enough money to pay a full time coach, then there isn’t enough money to pay a full time coach. If there isnt enough money to pay for full time contracts, then there isnt enough money for that either.
RA has provided a timetable for when these contracts are going to be viable and I’m sorry if it upsets everyone that they’re not happening now. But in order to pay for full timers requires money. Money that isnt being generated in the womens game. So the only place that money is coming from is from a strong and successful Wallabies and Super Rugby program. Poor results leads to bad crowds leads to less sponsorship leads to less money.
If we are wanting our womens players and staff to go full time then we all need to hope to hell we have a good World Cup campaign and strong showing in Super Rugby otherwise nobody, man or woman is going to get paid at all.
It’s dire, it sucks, but that’s the reality of it.

In the previous two iterations of this competition there has ben NOTHING LIKE 100% support from Brisbane Rugby supporters. That’s nonsense.
And good to hear you’d support your team – particularly now as that support gets exposed to a wider audience and your brand becomes synonymous with a successful entity. The clubs exposure grows as does your product awareness and becomes more valuable as a result.

I’d take 50% of Brisbane over 0% of Brisbane any day of the week. Presumably though, if your team DID make the cut, you would support it? or would you pull your sponsorship because of it?

No definitely dont switch allegiances. Support your team, get to their games and in your own small way, financially contribute to their on going success.
This comp wouldnt have your support, but it would have support of the ones who did make it. It didnt have the support of anyone in the previous iterations.
