I am tragic and I like rugby.

2015 and 16 in test rugby are exceptions not the norm to his whole career

in those years he was still scoring a plethora in super rugby.

in 2016 for instance he topped the super rugby tournament for tries with 11.

so he’s always been a try scorer and always will be!

Piru he does all of those things… every week

Folau can’t tackle? he’s played state of origin!

he can’t kick? he’s played AFL!

taylorman try and think about what you’re saying…

80 minutes of rugby!

Israel Folau will become Super Rugby's greatest try scorer

Folau has outplayed Ben smith at test level on atleast half a dozen occasions i can remember, including the world cup final where Smith had a stinker of a match frankly.

Smith almost single handedly cost them the RWC before dan carter rescued them.

Israel Folau will become Super Rugby's greatest try scorer

saying he’s only scored 10 tries or more only twice is like criticsing Einstein because he only came up with two theories that changed the world

The way he plays, and he’s been a try scoring phenomenon in both league and union, it is just a matter of time before he breaks both records.

Israel Folau will become Super Rugby's greatest try scorer

he’s scored plenty of tries against new zealand opposition in super rugby

for example you may have noticed he’s scored 3 in the past 2 games against nz opposition

and in tests for that matter, he’s scored 6 tries from 15 games, which sets him up to probably end up the highest individual try scorer against the all balcks by the time hes finished his career. In terms of wallabies only Campese (8 tries from 29 matches) and AAC (9 tries from 31 matches) are ahead of him that have scored more against the darkness.

Israel Folau will become Super Rugby's greatest try scorer

59 tries – Doug Howlett, from 104 games
58 tries – Caleb Ralph, from 136 games
57 tries – Joe Roff, from 86 games
56 tries – Christian Cullen from 85 games
56 tries – Bryan Habana, from 118 games
56 tries – Stirling Mortlock, from 140 games

and chasing them all down…
50 tries – Israel Folau, from 83 games

I think Cullen and Folau stand out as the fullbacks amongst wingers. Joe Roff obvioulsy as well was a phenomenon at super rugby level but only really played fullback in his last season. The rest played a lot more games to be on this list.

Ben smith btw 33 tries from 130 games…. ahem.. . not anywhere near as good!!!

‘Earlier this month we reported that after a difficult first season at the Stade Mayol, Toulon were going to release Quade Cooper this summer.

Of course, The prospect of such an ignominious end to Cooper’s short stay at Toulon had been hinted at since the three time European Champions announced the capture of of François Trinh-Duc late last year.

Nevertheless, given Frédéric Michalak’s decision to join Lyon next season, many expected to see Cooper remain at Toulon for at least another year.

However, Cooper’s poor form seems to have forced the hand of Mourad Boudjellal, leaving the 58 times capped Wallaby international without a club for next season.

Indeed, according to the The Telegraph, Cooper’s representatives had been sounding out interest from various Premiership clubs over recent weeks, but to no avail.’

Quade failed at french club rugby and could not find a club at all so had to come home with his tail between his legs.

QC could not make the match day squad when he played club rugby in France.

Apart from a small period in super rugby 2011 (7 years ago) and perhaps a small period for the wallabies in 2013 (from memory… again about 5 years ago so hard to remember back that far) he’s done nothing but play rather mediocre rugby.

He was not much chop in the first place.

he lacks the character for a test no 10. He’s lost his genuine pace. Can’t kick goals very well. Flick passes too much. He’s reluctant in defence. Makes too many mistakes. There’s a lot not to like.

David what are you doing?

Boyd Cordner and Michael Hooper have lost the right to captain

shouldve been posted one up

Ex-Wallaby says 'we need to cheat better'

yes staring at other peoples belly button area is not going to help with rugby in any way whatsoever.. i agree!

Ex-Wallaby says 'we need to cheat better'

how can you play better when the ref ensures you don’t have the ball?

Ex-Wallaby says 'we need to cheat better'

nZ ref awarding 17 penalties to 7… in favour of the NZ side…

missing 2 red cards and refusing to go the TMO.

Sanzaar need to look at this!

Ex-Wallaby says 'we need to cheat better'

it would help if the NZ ref wasn’t biased ensuring the crusaders were awarded 17 penalties to the waratahs 7

there is no way that is a true indication of the discipline of these two sides.

I counted out atleast 5 penalties that could’ve been awarded the other way, and I counted atleast 5 penalties that he failed to award to the tahs.. 2 of which were possible red cards.

It was a DISGRACEFUL refereeing performance!

Ex-Wallaby says 'we need to cheat better'

or just the 3 super rugby sides…

Ex-Wallaby says 'we need to cheat better'

there’s a big difference with two red card foul plays that the referee refused to eevn ask for the tmo

And hes a nz ref

it was blatant and there should be an investigation.

Ex-Wallaby says 'we need to cheat better'

definitely onside!

Brett okay fine you haven’t watched it, good to know. Trust me you’re not missing anything but so as long as you realise it is not an anti gay video in the way it has been reported i’m happy to drop it with you.

But there are a lot of people in the media that are misleading everybody on what this sermon is. This is damaging for folau as a rugby player and for gays in the community.

it is news now but only because the media made such a big deal out of the earlier tweet.

And that should not give the media a licence to continually misrepresent anything they feel they should. Its unethical.

What i don’t want to see is a person vilified out of the game just because of his religious beliefs. if that is what society is come to we have deep and dire problems. A huge double standard on inclusivity if you will.

As for your idea that he is going against his employer. He simply isn’t because that would be unlawful.

No employer in this country has the right to dictate someones spiritual beliefs. article 18 of the Aust Human Rights Commission ensures this.

RA are aware of this. Thats why there has not been and will not be a sanction.

Heres the other thing that worries me.

Folau has been tweeting religious references for years without much media attention. He has now become a religious leader amongst his church and he will only get stronger amongst devout christians, as long as there is a continued media storm.

This worries me. At my club for instance there are a lot more people supporting him than i’d have thought. People are looking for a freedom of speech crusader on this issue.

Christians love a good martyr. In fact its success based on martyrdom.

This will be detrimental for gay people because its now part of the public debate again.

Folau’s church and anti SSM ers will be loving all this.

Its better if we let it all go through to the keeper.

After all we are only talking about theology. if it gets no attention it will become less and less relevant.

All these people talking about how much hurt this is causing to the gay community need to think about it. The media have done far more damage than israel folau could’ve done alone.

I think folau is a pawn in all this. His religious leaders are using him and will be loving all this. He will be vilified out of the game. Plus pacific islanders who share his views will feel that they are being excluded. Gay people will also feel more excluded.

Everyone is losing.

I feel for folau because from him at least it is coming from good intentions on his part.

I feel it appropriate to try and protect him.

The problem with Israel Folau's comments

Because religious freedom is a human right as pointed out by the human rights commission article 18:

‘This right shall include freedom to have or to adopt a religion or belief of his choice, and freedom, either individually or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in worship, observance, practice and teaching.’

George Gregan urges Israel Folau to shut the hell up

no its to make his ‘repent your sin’ point

it is nothing new, nothing we didn’t already know

let me guess you read the spin headline and rushed to judgement

the video is not an anti gay video.

its an evangelistic sermon on repentence, a very small amount of it 20-30 sec out of about 12 min broaches the subject.

its nothing we didn’t already know from the players view article
