Pete steph de T could be in trouble for a few weeks even tough wasn’t upgraded to red.

'It stings, it hurts ... we got exposed': All Blacks alarm bells ringing after Springboks dish out worst EVER defeat

Exceptional game.

Ref had a great game catching a lot of the NZ around the ruck and line out. B0kke were huge but should have put the game to bed inthe first 30mins.
Nz defence very strong to hold on throughout the game.

I think his involvement in the wallaroos will be limited and should run through their current coach. He will oversee not coach.
I have more of an issue with the timing of the women’s event – let’s run it at he same time as the men’s world cup…..

'It has been impossible': When it comes to his 'secondary' job Eddie Everywhere has been more like the invisible man

Forwards first – I don’t like Zane Norg. and Jordan U there – they can’t do the core skills yet which is important in crunch moments – scrummaging or throw ins.
Bell and Thor will be the main players with DP as hooker.

typically there was going to be a shake up of ‘engrained players’ – always going to be.

Eddie being Eddie has removed all safety nets. although 0-4 the growth and playing style has developed pretty quickly. Hodge and Wright are safe and better than the SV BD but…

lets see how it goes this weekend this all teams.

there definitely is the eye on the future.
i don’t mind cleaning some of the old out. Hooper mentally and physically hasn’t been right for a year and not against this decision. The only concern was there no other 5/8, but it is done now – would have love QC or hodge to be there.

like other articles, going into the RWC with a 0-4 status – there is some serious progression and its the tightest comp there is.

i don’t think EJ has been sitting on the couch and lets understand how important the RWC is for rugby is in this country.

Its a world cup year and he has done more media than all of RA has done in the last 4 years… let’s get perspective please. After the world cup then we can push ‘like to haves’ – national 3rd tier comp, centralised system, focus of development in all rugby formats.

there will be time but the reality is if the wallabies do well at the world cup, people will follow (incl the money). The wallaroos are not performing on the world stage as yet with the reasons as per their statements.

The wallaroos picked their time coming off the back of the very successful run by the women’s soccer tema – well done to them. Success is important and if they didn’t make it out of the pools it would have been a completely different story.

7 team comp.
ACT, WA, Vic and 2 each from Qld and NSW .
6 rounds (3 away and 3 home) – top 2 play finals. next 2 play for 3 v 4.

Like the NRC needs to be blended youth/ talent ID with experienced players.

I understand the club standpoint with community and already set fan base, but it leaves players out and will be controversial. people will go to watch or see on stan the talent – play at Ballymore or club grounds and funding goes to development teams.

i must say the schoolboy GPS comp is quality and at the moment (watch on Clutch TV)- high energy, good skills and no time wasting in lineouts or scrums. most enjoyable.

RA's target of a third tier in 2024 raises a whole heap of questions in desperate need of answers

they need to be competitive as well – Australia do not follow losing teams.

Cattle class-flying Wallaroos blow up at RA's double standards, question big money Suaalii move

Future capable yes.

currently capable ? in question & from what i have seen he will struggle, lets see – happy to be proven wrong.

Reds sign TWO All Blacks props - and one of them could play for the Wallabies next year

Agreed. Thor still took time.

He is young and shouldn’t be put in that position. Holding the scrum is key role and needs to do this first, like a hooker throwing the ball
In.

If they struggle to do that or is not ready please don’t pick him as these are key roles and need the set piece stable. All I’m
Saying is there are better scrummers out there.

I think that’s what I said-

Hopefully he listens and takes it onboard to be a wallaby. He is young.

Note – being an around good guy doesn’t always mean he is a test level

Know Quade want going to picked a day before…(thanks christy)

Exclusive: 'Think he's very upset, mate': Quade rejected Eddie's call after brutal omission - and hasn't been heard from since

Farrell suspension should be interesting – should be given more than the 6 given his previous record (ones that have been reported and al l the other ones missed).

the U20 format won’t change, just that some talent is behind more experience players and therefore struggle to get a look in. For me, It’s about creating opportunity for these guys and other late bloomers.

in some areas the super rugby teams lack depth and therefore the whole team fails (reds – front and 2nd rows) – i some areas we lack that top level backup. Having the 1st team players with skillset works but go beneath this layer due to injuries/ suspension etc the drop is sometimes too great and the overseas players should be able to plug gaps and still be able to represent their country of birth/ grew up in.

we lack depth as a squad.

Kiwi View: Opening up eligibility - the (not so) quick fix to Super Rugby’s inequity?

Besides the fact as it stands that they then can’t respresent the all blacks. It’s opening this gate!

A draft will suck, salary cap will work creating a stronger comp – understand who is up to the challenge of not.

let look at the positives – the closer the games, the more broadcast rights – the more players will be paid to offset the NRL money..

Limit the player numbers from outside, make clause for development players (U20 – 4 per squad) to create opportunities for the players.

Super Rugby draft? Let’s not be so hasty

lets join the NRC with the NPC and we might be halfway there – i can’t be just a Oz comp. Letting ppl move to various team has to be considered (create opportunities and fill weak gaps).

At the highest level i think we definitely have the talent – the next step down is where we fail, due to largely the NRL taking and able to pay decent money to development the players further. With our 5 teams, we don’t get that opportunity simply due to broadcast money. How to raise the broadcast money – competitive teams and outside interests with money and a population to service it (Japan/ HK etc)

NRL is circa $400-450 mil. ARU – is $30-35mil.
Given this disparity we do very well in the scheme of things.

investing in coaching key with real development pathways, not parachuting in great ex-players that think they can coach. Lets get great coaches that have played.
