My first VFL game was Collingwood vs Fitroy Rnd 1 1981. I was 12 and we had just moved to Melbourne. I had no idea what was going on. Dad bought me a pie. I took one bite and a seagull shat on it... By the time we made the GF that year, which I went to, I was hooked and cried when we lost... Carn the Pies!

Unless we are obviously entrenched in or within reach of the top 4 by the queens birthday, I reckon he goes. If we are outside of the 8 then we are still travelling in the wrong direction. Enough time has been spent on this coach. Magnificent players rarely make great coaches. Matthews and Barassi.
All of the rest were serviceable or pretty good, rarely great or champions.
Jeans, Hafey, Clarkson, Sheedy.
Outside influence and fresh ideas are badly needed.
Hopefully both Maguire and Bucks are gone by mid year.

If we make the 8 next year i will be amazed. It will mean all of Bianco, the Browns, Rantell, Ruscoe, Kelly and whoever is drafted or rookie drafted have been able to fit into the Hymie Buckley game plan and humor bracket and our remaining list has not been injured again or mutineered in some way or other…
