Nimble is the word!
Tour de France Diary, Stage 20: Cavendish clinical on the Champs Élysées
Much as I miss seeing Cancellara, Wiggins absolutely deserving of his triumph.
Tour de France Diary, Stage 19: Wiggins triumphant, extends GC lead
Nice description there of Cavendish at his best – nimble is the word!
Tour de France Diary, Stage 18: Fast-finishing Cavendish steals victory
Definitely something to be learned here, but tragically those who most need to learn it are probably not reading your excellent article Kate!
What's happened to sportsmanship?
While lots of riders had a bad day at the office, the injury to Chris Anker Sorensen’s fingers in the newspaper incident was particularly horrible.
Tour de France Diary, Stage 17: Evans' stomach illness - Valverde takes stage
So much bravery on display in this stage!
Tour de France Diary, Stage 16: Evans cracks, podium chances gone
Amazing work by Morkov and impressive effort by Bradley Wiggins to lead out Edvald Boasson Hagen for the finish. And Andre Greipel looked like a very happy man!
Tour de France Diary, Stage 13: Greipel wins on Bastille Day
Very sad to see the horrible injuries suffered by Sammy Sanchez.
Tour de France Diary, Stage Eight: Evans strong in second
I appreciated the “gentlemanly push” given by several able-bodied riders to their injured counterparts at the start of the climb, and not just team-mates either.
Tour de France Diary, Stage Seven: Evans second as Froome claims unlikely victory
Sad to see yet another horrible crash (poor old Frank Schleck looked particularly sorry for himself) – I can’t help but feel relief though for Cadel and Cancellara’s lucky escapes (so far!)
Tour de France Diary, Stage Six: Sagan takes win number three
There and thereabouts all right!
Tour de France Diary, Stage Five: Greipel wins two in two days, Evans well placed
You are absolutely correct about the term “The Ashes” – those using it with reference to this Tour not only understand nothing about cycling, they understand nothing about cricket either! As for “The Ashes on Wheels” – I hadn’t heard that and I never want to again! (Cricket Fan here)
Stop calling the 2012 Tour de France 'The Ashes'
I’m full of admiration for young Peter Sagan – he does seem to be a multi-faceted personality as well as an amazing talent!
Tour de France Diary, Stage Three: Sagan does the business at Boulogne-sur-Mer
Well said. Cancellara has my absolute admiration and respect.
Tour de France Diary, Stage One: Sagan victorious in Seraing
I called the Time Trial! So Happy – Go Spartacus!
Cancellara shows he is still the man to beat
I can’t go past Spartacus – saw the great man in action in 2010 at the World Cycling Classic, Buninyong
Tour de France prologue could be anyone's
I can’t see Cav finishing the Tour. The Olympics is surely his main focus. He will be fatigued from the Giro and overall win at the Ster ZLMToer.
Team Sky's 'balancing act' is manageable
Hmm, I wonder how many Tour route-designers are likely to be reading your advice?
Vuelta Diary, Stage 10: Degenkolb makes it 4
