Yep Minny are happy to throw Kevin Martin and his terrible contract into this as well.

Plenty of things making it hard for both GS and CLE to pull the trigger on this

Where will Kevin Love end up?

Yeah well I’d say that the team who lands Love only does it after getting some sort of verbal agreement that he will stay long term.

But it is a risky move for sure.

The Warriors are being called stupid and crazy for not just giving up Klay for him but the Warriors are smarter then getting Kevin Love on a 1 year rental and ending up with nothing after 1 season. This is a real discussion in the GS camp.

Cleveland to a lesser extent have the same worry. You don’t really wanna give up the potential of Wiggins for Love to do a runner in a season but i highly doubt it would be hard to get a verbal agreement from Love if he ends up on the same team as Lebron James.

Where will Kevin Love end up?

Most sources suggest that the GS front office is pretty torn over adding Klay or not. So far they have stayed strong but who knows if they feel this slipping away they can always throw him in and get it done.

I was just reading that Wiggins/Bennett for Love was just about a done deal before Minny pulled out saying they will need more.

Gotta give it to Flip he is refusing to take anything but the exact package he feels he can compete next season with

Where will Kevin Love end up?

Been following this pretty closely. It’s been insane

The twitter reports or inside sources or just typical social media rumours have made it hard to work out what really is going on but this is what i’ve gathered recently.

Cleveland’s bid now includes something along the lines of Wiggins, Bennett, Waiters and or a pick? That’s probably the Cavs most aggressive bid?

Warriors bid if its true that Klay Thompson has beed added is something like Thompson, Barnes, Lee for Love and Martin.

Now from what i’ve gathered Minnesota still really really like Klay Thompson. He’s clear ability to shoot the ball and what’s overlooked is his he is a much improved defender, he’s the Warriors go-to perimeter defender. I guess Minny are seeing this and are rating him the man to get for Love but if the Warriors won’t move on him then Cleveland’s deal is the easy winner with Wiggins is added, IF Wiggins is added.

If neither of these players are added i think Minnesota goes into the season with Love.

Who knows where this is going though, how long can it possibly drag out?

Credit to Minnesota they are trying to hold out for the best possible deal. Frustrating and making a lot of people nervous in the mean time

Where will Kevin Love end up?

That play was pretty awesome.

Yeah could already be on the move. Interesting by Cleveland, didn’t take long to throw Wiggins into the trade. They’ve got all their cards on the table now. Minnesota now head back to Golden State to ask again for Klay Thompson

Andrew Wiggins shows off in the NBA Summer League

The Wiz Wagon

I like it

The Wizards' magic number is 54

This is pretty much how i feel these days.

I’ve always preferred and had a lot more interest in the NBA but did attempt to support the NBL. I would love to see a successful domestic league but once the Brisbane Bullets died i lost total interest in the NBL. With no local team it was pretty easy for me to just go back to having my full focus on the NBA.

Is the time right for Australian basketball to Boom?

Is Varejao actually that good?

Never plays much and just been hearing around way too many people assuming now that Lebron is back this dude is now an elite big man of the NBA.

Not seeing it, an upgrade at some point will be required

Does LeBron's return mean rings for Cleveland?

Looks as though he is signing a 3/27M with Charlotte. Last year is team option.

That’s pretty good for the Hornets, see how it goes

The Wizards' magic number is 54

Speaking of the interesting East.

I was reading today that Charlotte have a lot of interest in Lance Stephenson. He’s not getting a whole lot of interest from the rest of the league but would be a good pick up for the Hornets. He might be a bit of risk cause of his mental break downs on court but i love his game. Considering they missed out on Haywood i reckon Charlotte should do this. To go with Kemba, MKG, Jefferson I’d take a punt on Stephenson.

The Wizards' magic number is 54

I think Cleveland are still a year or two away from being a legit chance of winning it all.

I think Chicago are favourites. Again though we have to say it again – If Rose stays healthy. Noah, Gibson, Butler were all fantastic last year. They drafted well and picked up Gasol which is a pretty big signing. Will always be great defencively but a nice injection of big man offence with Gasol now.

Indiana, Washington and Miami are still probably as good as Cleveland on paper.

Don’t expect Miami to just drop back off the face of the earth. They might have lost the best player on the planet but they have still had a respectable off season.

Does LeBron's return mean rings for Cleveland?

I like the Wizards and i’ve liked what they have done this off-season but i know to never get to excited about them too early.

The way they finished last season was a great step in the right direction though. They really beat up a disappointing Chicago team

Wall and Beal have all the pontential to be a long term fantastic back court combo. They have the front court with Nene and got Gortat to return, one of the re-signings of the off-season for me. They’ve kept Andre Miller and I think i said the other day what a great signing Paul Pierce looks to be, I’ll stick by that. I know they would have loved to keep Ariza, he’s younger and had a great year last season but a nice plan B pick up for the Wiz here. He’s of course not what he used to be but he still brings the 3 ball and a ton of legit experience. He also won’t demand minutes like he use too. I reckon he is happy to give Otto Porter his minutes. Such a smart pick up. Also do you reckon he can probably slide into the 4 when Nene gets injured?

I was reading some where they are working on a sign and trade with Dallas for Dejaun Blair as well. I don’t know where these talks are at but that would be another good pick up. I’ve always liked Blair and the energy he brings, would be a good Nene back up.

I think the Wizards sence that with Lebron going back to Cleveland it has busted the door wide open in the East. They know they are a good enough chance as anyone of competing in the East now.

Never get too excited on the Wiz early but i’ve loved the off season they’ve had.

The Wizards' magic number is 54

Absolutely, I’m not leaving this to a day before the deadline if there is only 1 buyer interested.

However Flip Saunders/Min still have time. They could have shipped him draft night if they wanted to get this done and move on but decided to hold on which makes me think 1 – They’d prefer established talent and 2 – They are ok with starting the season with him. Right now they have 2 teams chasing aggressively. We then have Houston trying to get back in after the Bosh disaster and Boston looking from the outside with a bunch of picks if Minny change there tune.

In my opinion Flip can still be fairly aggressive for now if he wants. Interest from around the League is there. Min can just wait to have a look at the offers.

Even if they start the season with Love, they still won’t be good. He’s hardly got them knocking on the door of greatness so i don’t think they are worried they will be in playoff contention when they have to trade him. The lottery can still be the goal

One big three to another: LeBron to team with Love?

Yeah well i don’t know if i agree with how Minnesota are dealing with this as well but it still continues to be reported that they will stay strong on the view that they want players who contribute now. If they stick to this then the Warriors have a better package. Klay Thompson is the best player (right now) that both Cleveland and Golden State would offer.

They don’t win out of this either way unless they can convince Love to stay but i guess by them staying strong on not just accpeting a couple of draft picks you never know what will happen. They drag it out into the season, more teams enter the chase for Love and are willing to throw more talented pieces into this.

Of course the other issue for teams interested is will he stay long term. You know he would stay in Cleveland now but i don’t see him ruling out playing for every other team in the League. Plenty of spots he could land where he will be play in the Playoffs. I believe when Minnesota and GS were close to a deal pre-draft Kevin Love had no problem going to Golden State. They were saying pre-draft he wanted to go to Boston as well so who knows what he is thinking.

All i know is he is desperate to be a factor in the playoffs but Minnesota have stayed strong so far on what they want i don’t expect them to crumble just yet cause Lebron landed in Cleveland

One big three to another: LeBron to team with Love?

Smart by Hodges, stupid by Cartwright

Wow Broncos have moved Hoffman to fullback

That’s how bad Barba is going or how bad Hoffman is going at 5/8

Another awful performance from Benny tonight

What a brilliant set play. Penrith have played such good looking footy this season.

Very surprised how flat the Broncos have come out after half-time. They had Penrith beat at times in the first-half. Broncos look like the team with injuries

[VIDEO] Penrith Panthers vs Brisbane Broncos: NRL highlights, scores, blog

I can’t see Minnesota ever going near this if Wiggins is not involved.

What’s the rush? They have until the end of the trade deadline next year to move him. They already have the Warriors in consistent talks with them and other teams will come knocking again. The Warriors have the same problem Cleveland do with Wiggins, they don’t want to throw Klay Thompson in to get the deal done

As i’ve said before Minnesota are not here to help a Cleveland fairytale big 3, these deals have to work for them as well. They also want a team that’s willing to take Kevin Martin and his ugly contract.

Minnesota have so far made it pretty clear they would prefer players that can contribute right now. How much do the Cavs have to offer on that? Waiters, T.Thompson and Bennett? Eh. If Minnesota are seriously close to taking this offer at some stage i still think Golden State jump in and finally throw Klay Thompson in with David Lee and or Harrison Barnes and get it done.

One big three to another: LeBron to team with Love?

Good half of footy.

Penrith came out on fire, fantastic intensity early.

Shame about the injuries that’s really thrown them around a bit. Broncos should come home over the top of them

Something needed to give in the East, outside of Miami and the Pacers for half a season it was just terrible last season.

Things look a little more interesting now though.

It’s going to be interesting to see how Cleveland go. I have no idea to be honest. They are young so Lebron understands they probably won’t win next season but when you add the best player in the world then you are very much onto something. If they can pull off a trade for Kevin Love without giving away everyone then i put them right up there instantly.

When you lose the best player in the world it’s always going to feel like a failure, though i feel Miami have done ok in the last week. They’ve overpaid Bosh but had too due to Houston desperatly chasing him. They got Wade, Anderson, Chalmers all staying and added McRoberts, Granger and Deng. They will be ok, i don’t seem them winning 60 games but they will still be a playoff team

Chicago is interesting. They have tried to be aggressive chasing Melo but looks as though Gasol will be plan B prize. Pretty good pick up, if he can play 60+ games. Bulls desperatly need more offence, Gasol brings that. If Rose stays fit they probably win the East i suppose?

Watch for Washington, coming off a very good season and have plenty of talent. Looks as though they are adding Paul Pierce as well. Pretty nice veteran pick up, PP can head to Washington pretty comfortable that he doesn’t have to do a whole lot every night and will still be in the playoff action.

The Knicks will continue to wait until a big name free agent becomes available, Melo got his money so looks as though he is happy to wait.

The Pacers are the Pacers, they can probably win 55 games but can self destruct at any moment.

The winner still comes from the West though surely?

Spurs, Clippers, Thunder haven’t exactly got worse this off-season.

LeBron James breathes new life into the NBA

Incredible

You felt it coming though, giving Miami nothing in the last few days was enough for me.

Good on him i say, he went to Miami to win championships. He had something very special with Wade and Bosh but was there much left to do in Miami? He’s done everything that he needed to do now it’s time to come home. Cleveland means so much to him, he never lost that feeling.

Now that this is out of the way Free Agency is back on!

How about Chris Bosh? Turns his back on Houston last minute to take a max deal and stay in Miami. Houston had just spent the morning clearing Jeremy Lin and Omar Asik off the books in the process of making room for Bosh to have him say no thanks! They obviously have to go match the Dallas offer sheet for Parsons and now have to pay him over and can’t trade him. So they now have absolutely nothing to offer Minnesota if plan C was to chase Kevin Love. Houston massive losers out of today.

All the talk is Cleveland are now clear favourites for Kevin Love. I’m not seeing this as clear? They’ve already said they won’t add Wiggins and most likely Waiters to any trade discussion. Absolutely no way a Cavs offer of what? T.Thompson/Bennett is better then anything Golden State for example can offer. Minnesota don’t need to play into anyones fairytale if they don’t want to. So i don’t know what happens here.

It’s another fun day in the NBA

"I'm coming home" - LeBron bringing his talents back to Cleveland

A week ago i was buying none of this talk

However the last few days I’ve started to really believe that he is a real chance of heading back to Cleveland. There is something in this.

The whole taking time away and giving Miami absolutely nothing until he met with Riley today suggests he is really thinking this through. If he was just playing games and was never actually thinking about leaving I’m sure Bosh wouldn’t have gone and pretty much told Houston he is coming if Lebron leaves. To go with him now having to consult his family about the next move

I actually don’t think it’s a terrible move for Lebron right now anyways.

If he does go to Cleveland are they really that far off a Miami team led by what? Wade, Granger and McRoberts?

Cleveland have Kyrie and decent pieces (dunno what Wiggins is going to be yet). If they get Lebron the word is they might try and talk to Minnesota again about what it would take to get Kevin Love. A Kyrie/Lebron/Love core is already better then most the East can offer

LeBron should head back to Cleveland

Yeah Lebron stays in Miami and Melo goes to Chicago unless Houston have a really good pitch for him.

I don’t even think Minnesota have really bothered to try and talk Love into staying, we’ve sorta just known this would happen for a year now that he is over losing and the help has just never really come.

I’ve been a Warriors fan for a long time so I’m probably just being biased but wow the Curry/Love combo has me so sold it just has to happen.
