You definitely have a way with words, Cam.

Read it and weep: Eddie made Wallabies fans 'eat s--t' for 10 months - here's every bit of BS he uttered

Sadly Aiden, I reckon your brief assessment is spot on. I too was prepared for the “bounce” of initial improvement but the clown show started at game 1 and just got worse every game. I’m still shaking my head 10 months later.

Great to read more verbal diarrhoea from the outgoing Wallabies coach today. I had cancelled the count, but could not help reading the train wreck denouement. Shame shizen from mouth, yet even more patently absurd narcissistic taste of vomit. Absolute drop dead fark white count. Should go off to Japan to reunite with his apparently estranged spouse, by coincidence picking up Brave Blossoms gig, only to be assassinated by a deranged QC fan in Hiroshima.

Spot on summary Don. Nothing more needs to be said.

Jones to return to Australia as Japanese reports link Wallabies coach as favourite to take over Brave Blossoms

Spot on Peta. Where will his throwaway excuses and lame put downs of his key players ever end? e.g. when dropping Kerevi he parroted his lines when dropping Cooper.

There is no way RA or Walllabies can progress with Jones in charge of coaching. Full stop. End of story.

Jones to return to Australia as Japanese reports link Wallabies coach as favourite to take over Brave Blossoms

No matter how bad it looks, Jones has to go. H has single-handedly turned the Wallabies into a standing joke.

RWC News: 'Carry a grudge til the day they die' - Jones dismisses Wallabies rejects, Razor 'not allowed' at ABs games

Jesus wept.
QC came back bigger and better in 2021. Even most of the doubters/haters could see this (many such comments in this forum). He hasn’t been “hidden out the back” for years, in fact he has been foremost in the defensive line since his return. However, it was his skill as an enabler of a smooth attacking backline that was most impressive. The Lazarus Quade constantly underplayed his hand, stepped into 2nd receiver when needed, and this probably hurt his chances when Nic White was allowed to continuously kick the ball away. His kicking was far superior to anyone who has replaced him (stats). His onfield leadership was obvious to all.
I recall fondly Steven Kitsoff heartily congratulating QC after his Lazarus match. One could tell that the tough opposition forwards thought of him as a match winner (Kitsoff tried to take Quade’s head off and was penalised in the next game, I recall).
Sadly, we never got to see the best of QC in this tournament, and don’t expect we will see him again in the Gold jumper. Not saying he would have won it for us, but how could anyone possible believe that the current squad was capable in the absence of fit, senior players? The controversy definitely sits firmly with his omission, as it does with M Hooper.
Quade’s highlights reels will be watched for generations. Most supporters will try to forget this RWC Wallabies squad.

'If you have any poo, fling it now': One final indignity as Eddie's absolute mess of a World Cup campaign nears the end

Dono’s comment re “lineout leaders and leaders” is key.
Q. How many supposed leaders were there on the paddock? A. too many, but true leadership was missing in action.
Other teams seem to get it: scoreboard pressure, keep it ticking along. Surely everyone realises RWC success depends upon converting field position into points. Kick the sitter 3 points and reload. So many basic skills missing.

'F--- mate, what didn't go wrong?' 'Raw, devastated' Wallabies 'got bashed' - players react, Foley weighs in, after disaster

Because that’s what Jones does. He talks up the next best thing then brutally drops them after one or two questionable performances. Refer to his previous job. I seriously think he is suffering some mental illness, apart from his obvious narcissism. A sociopath I suspect. Any eminent psychologists reading this thread?

'All sorts of emotions': Why a 'humble pie world tour' has seen Kellaway never take Wallabies selection for granted

I always enjoy your posts oz. Have a wonderful trip and go the Wallabies. Jealous ????

Eddie Jones has broken every World Cup convention - it's a high-risk strategy no-one knows will work

Perfect, succinct analysis Don.

Eddie Jones has broken every World Cup convention - it's a high-risk strategy no-one knows will work

I think the real story is that Jones has used a colourful criminal analogy to describe his plans for Bledisloe and RWC. One down, one to go.

A criminal mastermind who fails spectacularly will end up in jail or on the run. Will Jones be in hiding come November?

Eddie Jones has broken every World Cup convention - it's a high-risk strategy no-one knows will work

QC made us test debut at 15, ok a long time ago. I thought he and Carter did ok in defence vs Punas after Ikitau went off despite the odd lapse. That was tough. None of the other squad members have made any defensive lapses, right? QC picked off a steaming Jordan inside the 22 – was that a lapse too?

Eddie Jones has broken every World Cup convention - it's a high-risk strategy no-one knows will work

How can you say that? QC has been an obvious leader in every team he’s played in for years.

Obviously there was some antecedence to QC not picking up the phone. He chose to blast Deans on social media, but as a mature leader he has remained stoic and moved on.

Was it coincidental the attack coach left a few days after his sacking?

Jones keeps bringing up the fact that he’s cleaned out the old leadership (despite keeping White) although injuries forced his hand.

Despite all this, it is impossible to argue against the fact that Jones has picked a squad without a backup 10 or a recognised kicker. As other famous commentators have alluded to, this is madness.

Talk is cheap. Fans want to see winning performances, not development squads. .

Eddie Jones has broken every World Cup convention - it's a high-risk strategy no-one knows will work

Yes, by the “outlier wins” you must mean in 2021: two wins (second being a comprehensive one) vs the reigning World Champs, plus two good wins vs good Puma team. I remember thinking that the Wallaby backline was about to cut loose with Pumas just hanging on in the 2nd test until White/Cooper were replaced by JOC/Tate. The best backline performance I’ve seen in years that game. I will agree that the Japan test was ordinary, with key members’ minds obviously elsewhere.

Eddie to resist last-minute Wallabies RWC changes despite injury clouds, Samu opens up on axing

Oh, let me think…. after 4 years away, his Lazarus comeback vs World Champs in 2021. Or, just recently when brought on after his team had just given up a 17 point lead to put one over from 47m to level the scores. Ok, just small moments I guess.

And the attack coach bales out a few days later… certainly not a good look.

Exclusive: 'Think he's very upset, mate': Quade rejected Eddie's call after brutal omission - and hasn't been heard from since

Of course. Silly me 😢

Eddie was right about one thing in epic spray - the Wallabies must stop being reactive and accepting of mediocrity

JD, I recall an article you penned last year claiming that Fast Eddie was actually a double agent when working for the Poms. Is it possible he is actually a triple agent, and if so, who is he working for now?

Awesome depth of analysis Harry, thanks. Will definitely be watching your metrics and looking forward to similar analyses.

ANALYSIS: Is Tom Hooper a Test quality flanker? How he's fared so far and the biggest hole in his game

Adam was referring to the A squad. Agreed.

'Sums up his career': Waugh reveals how Hoops reacted to RWC snub, and the Quade hope that didn't transpire

The old turnstile quote (yawn). QC defence has been as good as any in the backline, if not better. I would imagine a steaming Will Jordan coming at you inside your 22 is intimidating. QC dropped him with a bootlace tackle. No mention?

'Sums up his career': Waugh reveals how Hoops reacted to RWC snub, and the Quade hope that didn't transpire

Not with EJ running the show.

Nice words and totally agree das.

Maybe White has secretly signed with Randwick. Maybe Vunivalu too.
