Love your work Geoff.

The Wrap: Rugby Australia gaslights Rebels staff and why ‘I Can’t Go For That’

Hillarious

If Australia is looking for big men, let's not neglect the old and the fat

another female Board Member clearly demonstrates the current mob top to bottom have NFI. They don’t take responsibility, will not resign, can only be tossed. So whoever the change agents are, please for the sport we love. show these well intentioned muppets the door.

'Definition of madness': Rugby reform must start with total cleanout of RA board - and this should happen next

Congratulations Mick.

Former Wallabies assistant poised to take over as Fiji national coach

My faith in RA has eroded to disbelief. Repetitive poor decisions at board level has severely injured the sport here. RA’s ‘baggage heavy’ history & ineffective structure have proven unfit for purpose. Don’t try to fix it!
A new National structure please, A fresh constitution with clear pathways. A NRC’ish comp. Or revitalised Shute/Hospital/etc for club, state & national champions. Phase out SRP if necessary. Charity begins at home.

'All is not lost' but Rugby Australia needs to change its ways - this is how

Waugh reveals shocking $2.6 million unapproved budget blowout on Eddie Jones' World Cup debacle

hallelujah

Exclusive: Schmidt set to bring 'Lord' back to the Wallabies as first key appointment

For what it’s worth. Brumbies started strong with Noah Lolesio playing his best game for years. Had menace (not Bambi) in his eyes with Gilbert in hand. Why is it so? Fast ball from the recently promoted scrumhalf Ryan Lonergan has uncorked the team. Seizing opportunities before opponents reset was beautiful to watch. Interestingly the Force ‘came to life’ at 52min when scrumhalf Issak-Fines-Leleiwasa enterred the fray. Till then Donaldson @ 10 was unsighted with the backline in D for the first 52. The team were not on the same songsheet. I-F-L added spark, direction & speed. How he’s not starting this week astounds me. Cron must be enamoured by the perky mustache. Watch those games & its hard to ignore how a once great scrumhalf chokes a team yet looks stylish in the process.

'There is noise': Rebels get psychologist's help as they try to prevent Super Rugby spiral

Waugh has been a Director for years & CEO since 6th June 2023. The fanfare has long died but only now are SOME of the excess expenses being trimmed. Too slow ole boy.

Exclusive: Rugby Australia makes sweeping redundancies as governing body braces for 'economic headwinds'

Yes made a mega pile of money by phucking their customers.

'Our system is failing': The 'crisis' sinking Australian rugby - and the 'crucified' coach that shows it

Poor Eddy, we see him clearly now. The King has no clothes. And each RA Board member who supported Eddy’s appointment should resign.

'Stands out like dog's balls', 'set up for failure': Wretched Eddie-Slips moment that explains World Cup disaster

Hi Tony some alternate subjects for your consideration even though your RUGBY NEWS was appreciated.
1. What have the three women on the seven member RA Board contributed?
2. “Super Rugby Pacific Chair Kevin Malloy said” Tony, can you explain how this fits in the structure. Another Chair? Another Board? Who is paying for it?
3. Are we still paying for Skills Coach Berrick Barnes

Strength and Conditioning Coordinator – Jon Clarke

Rugby News: 'Weird period' - Tahs' devastating Eddie treatment revealed, kids' tackling is 'child abuse' claim

Well written John. Thumbs up

Aussie rugby is shooting itself in the foot over its recruitment strategy. It must change to give Wallabies a RWC hope

6 home tests for the Wallabies plus the European tour adding 6 more. Twelve in 2024 is insufficient for a good 2027 result. Wallabies often face 14 tests a season, butt only 9 in 2023. Hard to believe RA is awake given TESTS are core business. We must still have a lot of dopes ‘clocking on’ at RA.

Wallabies, Wallaroos fixtures CONFIRMED as Schmidt eyes 'fantastic turnaround challenge' against RWC rivals

Pasitoa also had a useful ‘out of hand’ kicking game & strong passing L & R in 2021. The big surprise were the performances of x7’s Max Burey @ 10 for the FORCE. These guys will be well worth the watch.

The forgotten young gun who wants to change the Western Force forever - and can

Jordan U is a good player no doubt. However at 27 with 4 headknocks in ’23 alone and inconsistant throwing on the paddock IMO we have candidates with more upside. My gut feeling is losing a lineout on your throw reflects more on the hooker than losing a scrum on your feed and if so the throw is King for hookers. The Reds were way best at lineout in ’23 & that would not happen without Matt Faessler throwing the ball. There are 14 other Hookers across 5 Oz teams & we should look at every player not their reputation.

Rugby News: Wallaby with 'drive for perfection' inks new deal, Kepu loses captaincy, Farrell says 'au revoir' to England

Mark Nawaqanitawase will be playing mungo ball next year. So as much as I loved watching Mark carry the ball forward, I hope his slot will be made immediately available to replacement candidates.

Rugby News: 'Good to have someone with that success' - Wallabies welcome Schmidt, SA referee calls time

Whatever we do without a HC, lets ingore the playing group. Not get them together, not build fitness, not practice skills.

COMMENT: Rugby Australia given wake-up call by All Blacks ... AGAIN

I wish Quade the very best in whatever he does going forward. However would love to see Quade initially and soon as specialty coach for the 10’s & 9’s at the Wallabies.

Quade Cooper rides the road to redemption in Japanese rugby return

Quade, I’m a fan & would love to see you play for the Wallabies again & then go on to coach our future inside backs. Grateful you have revealed to us what you felt & saw during the debacle. You’re a class act. Wishing you & your family the very best.

'He's up for it': Why ex-Boks World Cup-winner Jake White should be on the Wallabies coaching hit list

I wish Mark the v best in his NRL career. But lets be realistic, Mark is not coming back anytime soon & we need to consider him gone until proven otherwise. Playing Mark in tests through ’24 is IMO more ‘short term thinking’ that minimises the development opportunity for Marks replacements. Frankly I’m done with ‘short term thinking’. We have other known & less known players who can play 11 & 14, so lets get real & develop them. SOME candidates are Dylan Pietsch, Tom Wright, Darby Lancaster, Corey Toole, Ben O’Donnell, Andy Muirhead, Joe Pincus, Chase Tiatia, Harry Wilson & those below the radar. Onward & Upward.

'We don’t hold any grudges': Why Wallabies star will still be picked in 2024 despite NRL defection

Dear Dave, as a 100% ozzie & Wallaby supporter I respect & value your time as coach and apologise for those who couldn’t see what you were building. So happy to hear your up & running in Japan & wish you & Kobelco Kobe Steelers every success going forward. Dave you have many friends & admirers in Oz so please carry those good thoughts with you everyday. Best of luck mate.

Whistleblower where did you read any comment or opinion from Cooper from the time Eddy did not select him? I did not read any comment at ROAR or RA. Only crickets, quite zen & classy.
