Your joking right? SBW is not even the best in his position in NZ, Super Rugby let alone International rugby.

SBW set for impact at business end of RWC

Someone please show Jim what the scores were for teams like Namibia, Georgia, Japan, Tonga, Romania, Canada and USA in previous rugby world cups compare to 2011. The minnows ahve very well and I think Jim should take his sour grapes cap off and enjoy the biggest event this year.

Rugby World Cup: Second most important in the world?

renegade, does toyota cup break pay tv records in its finals games?

Rugby World Cup: Second most important in the world?

renegade, fair enough its noones fault that both games were schedule at the same time and i have no problems with the nrl shown live and rugby world cup delay. both game would have rate well if shown live at different times but channel 9 doesnt do the rugby world cup draw. what channel 9 are more interested in apart from the rugby world cup is the high ratings british & irish lions series in 2013.

Rugby World Cup: Second most important in the world?

the 2008 rugby league world cup werent given any thoughts by channel 9 either. most of the games were delayed for some reruns shows.

Rugby World Cup: Second most important in the world?

renegade likes to pick one exciting nrl game and then compare it to a rugby union game with no tries. when the nz warriors played the broncos two weeks and ago and got thrash im sure the ireland/wallabies game would have been more exciting to watch at least both teams were still in the hunt till the end. the warriors lost before halftime.

Rugby World Cup: Second most important in the world?

it will never go back to 16 teams and the reason been is mainly financial rewards from having more teams. russia, usa, romania, georgia and even fiji broadcasters paid the irb money to have the games shown at home and thats what the irb want more money to fund the game.

Is a 16-team Rugby World Cup a better option?

hopefully the warriors/storm game can beat the usa/russian game on sky tv this week. good stuff the nrl put the warriors game on straight after the world cup game so it might get some followers after it.

Inu stuns Tigers to seal Warriors win

it will be good for warriors fans to watch the game in new zealand without having to compete against one of the biggest rugby world cup games. you know the warriors semifinals game will never get much attention in nz while the world cup in on even if you said so. havent you read what ivan cleary and micheal luck said about the rugby world cup compared to league in nz right now?

Inu stuns Tigers to seal Warriors win

oikee, i was talking about puting the warriors/tigers game on friday so it doesnt clash with the all blacks/france world cup game in new zealand therefore fans of the warriors and neutrals in nz can watched. the warriors/tigers game was alright but there been many rugby world cup games that were better for me personally. the russians/usa rugby world cup game even beat the warriors/tigers finals on sky tv by over 100,000 views.

Inu stuns Tigers to seal Warriors win

that was a good win by the warriors after that shocker last week. the nrl should switch their semifinals to friday to avoid going head to head with one of the biggest game of the rugby world cup.

Inu stuns Tigers to seal Warriors win

the best thing for nz and international rugby league is for nz and france to have their professional competition so more players can play at the top level. the nz warriors under 20 side are doing well thanks to the rugby union players from many nz schools they signed. they know where the best talents are.

your right on the money rob9, i just wish some can take and post positive and negative news all at once instead of always turning whats not there or negative into positives.

How to close Rugby League's international gap

there is a huge different in talking positive and mention pub teams here and there and one or two individuals sign by a superleague club and developments of the game all over the world. we want to hear the big picture things like whta happen to the nrlus you and oikee were going on about taking over the world and so on.
by reading your post above it seems “POSITIVE” is your middle name. you praise toulouse when they enter the rfl championship a couple of years ago and now your prasing the same team going back to france.
i said rugbyleague planet and the south african rugby league posters there all talk about the kaos happening there very different from the “POSITIVE” news your preaching here. here have a read yourself.

How to close Rugby League's international gap

go warriors, i played rugby league for mt albert, richmond, glenora and waitemata as a junior. there are more rugby union players playing high school rugby in auckland than there are rugby league players in auckland alone. you do realise auckland rugby league covers the whole of auckland, counties manukau, north harbour and part of nortland in rugby union provincial terms?

you got one thing right…””lets see what happens””…

i dont want to hear about two 16 years old what we want is for you to explain is why toulouse are going back to the french league which to me doesnt looks like progress. maybe this french juniors had a hand in their signings including the two for union irish lads. is there no juniors at that age group not on contracts that is better in great britain than those two from france and ireland or is this like lets feed a child for dollar deal going on here? on rugbyplanet according to south african posters it is stuff all happening there and two different comps happening with union players in the off-season.

what makes the nrl more tougher than super rugby? does the nz warriors or sydney roosters have to fly to south africa, australia and back to nz to play games?
in every world cups it starts at pool games if you been watching the best teams in each pools try to avoid the likes of the all blacks, springboks and wallabies in the quaters and the minnows trying to beat each others while teams like samoa, fiji, tonga, canada, argentina, italy and romania are trying to knock wales, scotland, ireland and france off to make it into the quaters. no super pools and no bias.

the most popular and tougest rugby comp in the world is the rugby world cup follow by the heineken cup.

ted, why dont you bring an artical that compares rugby to rugby league around the world. dont go running towards soccer when you lose a arguement. we all know football is the world game.

mate, if only you stop keep going back to 1941 we might get somewhere but knowing many league fans its pointless but forget 1941 and put yourself in rugby league in france say the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s when huge crowds were watching their club comp, internationals and even the rlwc there. all im saying is this would have been a good period for development of rugby league in france and neighbouring countries with all that cash. i cant prove to you that biggest downfall of french rugby league straight after that period is the sucess of the french international rugby team in the five nations.
i’ve seen this same excuses pop up by many rugby league fans in different forums in regards to rugby league in italy. one guy says it happens and all hell broke lose. where did you get this informations from and please dont say italian rugby league, sean fagan or from lu.

i know they are rugby league players but you really making it out thats the first time anyone from france have played or signed iby an england club for over 100 years. it will be really good if you wait three to four years and then comment to see if this kids are playing superleague or in some conference summer amateur comps.

I didnt ask where the Crusaders went I just made a point why they went into adminstration and pulled out of Superleague. Like I said Im not going to go over Vichy its history but there was nothing wong with rugby league in France after the war and rugby league clubs and their international team made money from huge crowds who watched them. All Im saying is where did they invest that money thats all.
CC, this is why rugby union fans post on this threads. Why are you still going on and making excuses about why rugby league didnt work in Italy in the past? You know your blaming the government and evetually will lead to the Italian rugby union. How do you know the government has anything to do with rugby league failures in Italy? Why were other minor sports in Italy able to make it work yet everywhere and in most countries your sport is played rugby league seem to be the only sport that have been mess with. Why is that?

How to close Rugby League's international gap

Im getting really sick of Phil Kearns talking about players from the Pacific islands and of Island origin as if hes their god. The guy made personal comments towards the Tongan hookers aircut and the same with Tongan player now playing for the Wallabies Timani Sitaleki during the super rugby season. Who in rugby commentators says “Oh Pleasssse” and then goes on about the way they look or play? I have never seen Kearns said the same thing about any of the All Blacks, Wallabies, South Africa, England or French players but always toards the minority or tier 2 nations. Get rid of Phil Kearns and Marto.

Bring back Gordon Bray

CC, What does a ESL clubs signing one or two French 16 years old got to do with rugby league development? What has the South Africans youth signings by the NRL clubs in the last couple of years done for rugby league in that country?

How to close Rugby League's international gap

go warriors, ive played both games at the highest level and i like both even my kids are playing the two sports at junior level. i just cant stand most one eye rugby league fans mostly from australia and northern england bagging rugby union. i know rugby union is by far the bigger game out of the two and thats fine with me but most of these one eye leaguies have all the excuses in the world why rugby union is bigger. they wont admit their own administration, professional clubs in the past made many errors on developments but its always rugby union and one rumor just come from one forum to another and theres no going back. another examble i just saw a post saying that the crusaders rl went down because of dodgy owners but we all know that their part was small and they wont admit that it wasnt going to survive in brigend or in wrexhams with crowds like that.
