You hit it right in the head oikee. You can talk your NRL clubs up until you turn blue and then you went straight to rugby union and the first thing that came out was the RUGBY WORLD CUP. I love the old rugby as well but to say that there is more kicking now that it was back then is wrong. The rules were change because there was too much kicking and you only have to watch a whole game of that era to see it. I say bring back the team going forward puts in the scrum rules back because you then had all eight forwards in the rucks and mauls instead of fanning out like they do today otherwise its all good.

maybe you should take a look at some of the rugby league forums and see how some rugby league fans finds the stuff they are watching in the superleague so boring. Yes you get some good games and some really boring ones. I enjoyed many super 14 games in the weekend but not the Waratahs/Lions game. The Lions were finish at halftime.

Gee if you only played one season of league and your a rugby league junior than all the kiwis and polynesians that ever played nrl are rugby union juniors.
