Cian Cuba? Get of the crack pipe! 20yrs old and just made an NPL side this year! On the other hand, Issac Powell, a 16 yr old from Roar’s NYL GF winning team has just been called into the Bris v Syd A league game this weekend, if he gets a run he will be the youngest Roar Aleague player ever.

Could a Socceroos squad full of youngsters win the World Cup?

And how good are the youth team 6-0 up at half time!

Aloisi feeling pressure at Brisbane Roar

I agree with Kossie here – they looked extremely flat against the Nix. I’m just glad that some more youth players got game time. Style wise the Aleague team look lost and yet their Youth league team look absolutely first class! Top of table, whipped Melbourne Victory 6-0 on the weekend and played some delicious football. A credit to both the players and their coaching staff.
If I was a Roar board member I’d be seriously working out how to retain and develop this current Roar youth team for the next 2-3 years because they are a future Aleague team in the making.

John Kosmina slams lifeless Brisbane Roar

Yep Eric cops it week in week out. Cory Brown milked it for all it was worth.
Two Victory players pushed Eric after he was walking away and they get fcken nothing??? Seriously what a load of BS – The Ref last night was a fcken joke.

Credit to JA for giving the young guys a run last night. These young guns along with the rest of the Roar youth team are the future of this club. The Youth league team are leading the competition at the moment and they just kicked Melbourne City’s butt again today. I hope JA keeps blooding these young guys in the Aleague – As I see it we can take a bit of short term pain for a future of long term gain.

Red-carded Eric Bautheac 'kicked from pillar to post' all season: Aloisi

The Roar Aleague team – potentially the one of the oldest teams in the league (avg player age) are currently sitting near bottom of the Aleague. Their youth team (avg player age 17-18) on the other hand are sitting top of the Yleague comp. Perhaps JA should be looking to blood more of his younger players sooner rather than wasting another year with older players that have no long term value to the club.

Can John Aloisi coach Brisbane Roar out of the hole they're in?
