Lancey5times I totally agree. Those are the players in my firing line. You can add G.Bird to that list. Woods, Fafita & Klemmer should be given first and final warnings, no more chances. For the size of the NSW forward pack you would think they would have the advantage over Qld. The difference being NSW forward pack have no ticker. They are constantly niggling and looking for a penalty. They run soft and have no fire in the belly. They are all disappointing to watch when running the ball, stopping at the line needs to stop. There was one line break by a NSW forward last night and that was Woods who stepped off his left foot, however he pretty much went missing for the rest of the night. Unfortunately Daley & Bozo will keep status quo and this will be reflected in game 3 and game 1 next year. NSW will never learn. More pain and suffering coming to NSW fans.

Five talking points from State of Origin 2

Time for change right now.

Daley & Bozo – Finished after this series

Never to play SOO again
Gallen
Jennings
Walker
G. Bird
Ferguson

Put on Notice
Tamou
Fifita
Woods
Klemmer

New Blood
Graham
Cartwright
Tedesco
Sezer

Near enough is not good enough. Changes need to be made next game, not next year!

Gus is livid and rightfully so. For the first time he spoke the truth about NSW.

Swing the axe, Laurie - NSW cleanout must start immediately

Well done Qld. Just a great side who never lie down.

Sorry but Laurie Daley has to go.

Gallen – Gone
G. Bird – Gone
Walker -Gone
Jennings – Gone
Ferguson – Gone
Farah – Gone and never to play SOO again
Woods – Grub – No future in the side
Fafita – Biggest Grub
Klemmer – Greatest Grub

NSW will bever win with these players in the side.

State of Origin full-time: Queensland seal the series with 26-16 win

The SOO is the biggest sporting beast in this country. Working in WA at a construction project, the game has more than taken hold and is now converting AFL supporters who never had an interest before to taking sides and having a favourite NRL side to follow. No longer are the TV’s showing blanket AFL. RL is very popular in the west and SOO has helped push this trend as well as South Sydney playing in Perth.

I do believe we should delay the NRL comp for 1 month. Play 3 Origins a week apart followed by a test match weekend including international games between Pacific Island nations. Taking the best players away from clubs is punishing those clubs with the most representatives. 2 points missed during origin can make or break the clubs making it into the finals.

I would also like to propose the introduction of 2 wild card players for both Qld & NSW which then gives the best players in the comp a chance of playing in the SOO. This may keep players like Semi Radradra in the game long term, rather than looking at Rugby. Any addition of top line players will only enhance the game and therefore more bye in from players outside of the two states. Having Semi playing for NSW and Sam Burgess playing for Qld. How can anyone say that would damage to the game.

Just my two cents.

Go Qld….

Origin winning the code war but at what cost?

Congratulations to all involved on the weekend. We should be celebrating a great weekend of footy.

Yes the Aust – NZ game wasn’t as exiting as it has been in the past, but still enjoyable to watch, and a great crowd turned up.

The games on Saturday night were a great spectacle. How could anyone say the money spent was not worth . The crowd may have been 15000 but they brought something else to the game – passion. What a wonderful sight seeing the crowd excited, smiling and enjoying the football being played. I wish i could have been there. Yes the games had a lot of dropped ball but gee they played hard and fast. Take nothing away from this occasion. It was great to watch on TV also.

Including women’s teams will only add to the value of our game. We should be more supportive of women’s football. They play hard and tough and have fantastic skills that show they are serious about their football. I would like to see the women play more often. Maybe a women’s SOO should be played as a curtain raiser.

Well done to all involved.

Pacific and women's Tests highlight rugby league's rep round

I agree. It was the most intense test match series ever. Australia well beaten at Wembley in the first test. The second test GB were very unlucky not to win. Missed goals lost it for them. I have fond memories of the 3rd test where Paul Sironin smashed Elery Hanley that entire game and won man of the match. I miss those Kangaroo tours, getting up at an ungodly hour to watch the footy.

We have an opportunity to get back where Test Match football should be. Hopefully with Wayne Bennett in charge of the Poms, we might get a run for our money at this years 4 Nations.

Building on the success of the Pacific Islander test matches in recent times will only help the profile. There is strong growth in europe now and not to mention Lebanon Cedars take on the Cook Islands at Belmore this weekend.

Lets hope we build the international game up before the next world cup.

Keep up with international league through Rugby League Planet. Great web site and an in-site on where league is growing around the world. www.rugbyleagueplanet.com

Good Luck to all teams playing this weekend.

Why I'm brushing the rugby league Test

Great story mo. You brought back many childhood memories growing up in Sydney and the footy was everything as a kid. Local parks were always full of kids playing footy on Saturday. Match of the round at the SCG. Rex Mossop & Toohey’s ad’s. Cumberland oval with Parramatta & Manly playing to a packed house. 3 grades of footy. They played footy tough in those days. I miss those glory days.

Living in the 70s, rugby league style

Congratulations to the Cowboys. A great year and well deserved. What a grand final we have ahead of us. Qld will be pumped all week. I am tipping the Cowboys to win and give Thurston the premiership he deserves. Go the Cows.
