abysmal is a bit rich. Hughes scored 95 and 80 odd at the gabba, and Khawaja looked impressive in his first knock for the Bulls with 80. Wade also just scored 80 runs on a lively Gabba deck. And sorry- Steve Smith just is not a Test cricketer

Who will be in the starting XI for the Gabba Test?

Correct. Ben Cutting blasted a hundred for South Brisbane and four days later repeated the effort for the Bulls. I was at the Uni watching Peter Forrest and Hartley play a couple of weeks ago. There is something special about watching these blokes play on a Saturday afternoon.

Club cricket no longer makes the Grade

“So where to from here? ”
Forget cycling, is this the hardest question answer in world sport at the moment? There is so much work to be done, and I am intrigued to see how the cycling body responds.

Elephant in the room has finally been exposed

Tendulkar vs Ponting: An old debate in a new light

woah! I disagree. A nice change to the maroon/red donned by most Brisbane teams.

Too much spin in lead up to Big Bash League

Interesting article Damo. Though it would be amusing to see Chris Gayle endorse the Sydney Thunder’s representation of ‘the working class’!

Too much spin in lead up to Big Bash League

The reality is that rightly or wrongly Ponting, Hussey and Haddin are all likely to be picked for the GABBA. However, in what will likely be their last home test series. The real new beginning of Australian cricket will be the tour of the West Indies in March.

The Goodship Baggy Green needs stability

What do you think about labelling Shane Watson as the ‘leader’ of the Australian attack, and shuffling him down the order to number 5/6? He is the only ‘bowler’ in the aus side who is a guranteed selection and has performed well recently…

Time for the end of the Mitchell Johnson experiment

Agreed. A moving testament Kersi. I will personally remember Roebuck for his excellent work on ABC radio. There will undoubtedly be the feeling of something missing throughout the broadcasting this Summer
