The only negative thing about Boyd Cordner was that he didn’t suit the anti-Roosters narrative
Personaly I would have Oates over yow yeh yes yow yeh played for Australia and was sadly cruelled by injury, Oates has played more then double the origins and first grade games, Just my opinion, no doubt if yow yeh doesn’t retire due to injury he is ahead

Couldn’t agree more, I think he is a touch overrated TBH.
In saying that I do believe he will become a star under bellamy

The changes Queensland should make for Game 2
I think Holmes, gagai, feldt, kaufusi, capewell, coates, arrow, ofanguae, sua would all be dropped if we had the depth.
I would play Brimson at fullback, if u look through our team from game one there are no real game breakers. Val is no threat at origin level purely a finisher, coates is error riddled and will often get bent back at the gain line with his rangy frame, feldt is generally a safe player with a strong carry, gagai is getting on and it’s showing, capewell look injured, too slow.
Not an easy fix with depth, but I would start with Brimson at fullback, I’d put Ronald muitalo on one wing not to dissimilar to, to’o nuggety , strong carries and has that speed we lack. I would play chambers a must imo not only for his defence and experience but his tough, nsw bashed us in game one. I would stick with gagai in the centres and play hammer on the wing again for that speed and x factor.
I would be interested to see if olam was available and passionate about the maroon jumper because he would be a lock.

Kerr comes on the bench, good size and hearing him speak there is that passion for qld. Certainly after game one last year and his general form the past few years for me Hess has played his last origin
Hunt(of the Ben variety)and paps are the other 2 that come in. Much more size and speed with these changes.

More bombed tries then saved tries imo or at very least a bit of both. I would have scored at least 2 of those and that’s saying something . McCulloughs wasn’t saved or bombed was always going to be that result. And gagai was lucky it was even play on till that point
