That was a long time ago Nat, as I don’t think that the 2023 Storm side is the same as this year’s side is, especially what highs that the Storm side has achieved and have beaten the Panthers so convincingly, while the Broncs were convincingly beaten by the Panthers, lets see how tonight’s game goes.

Storm warning: We’re sleeping on Melbourne again – they might be the biggest threat to the Panthers

This is a very interesting round, imo the Bunnies will rise above the pack to set themselves up for the games ahead, where we have the Warriors (easy-peasy all yah Kiwis, suck it) Sharks, BYE and then to be ready for the Storm, Panthers 😂 👍
Here are my tips for round 5:
Storm by 8
Roosters by 28
Dragons by 4 with lots of heart attacks for the Dragons fans 😂
Bunnies like last year in Auckland >>> 28-6 😂 👍
Panthers easy-peasy by 18+
Tigers by 12+
Cowboys easy 24
Eels by 12+

The Roar's NRL expert tips and predictions, Round 5: Tigers on the hunt for hat-trick, Souths face tough test, Storm rising

I think Bellachy has A. Reynolds worked out and the Storm won’t allow Reynolds the kicking scope and/or latitude that he got against the Cowboys where Drinkwater and Feldt were shockers under the high ball and contributed largely to why the Cowboys lost. Paps, Meaney and Coates are pretty good under the bombs and the same won’t happen. Reynolds was just lucky as there was hardly any pressure put on him and his kicks on the 5th and got an advantage in the wet as the Cowboys couldn’t handle the conditions, let’s see what happens as the same won’t happen tonight with the Storm. My tip Storm by 8.

😂 6 foot and 16 inches tall!??? that is 7 foot 4 inches in imperial measurement. 😂

Fafita has been a dud and will continue to be a dud until he grows a set of Bs, he has done nothing at the Titans and every year he goes backwards.

Dragons finally letting Lomax leave - and his exit might start a feeding frenzy across the NRL

Zac Lomax should know the phrase of “one in the hand is better than two in the bush” as 800k at the Dragons will be about his top pay anywhere else in the NRL, as top odds at centre he is not worth more than 550K compared to the top centers in the NRL, as he surely aint in that class.

Dragons finally letting Lomax leave - and his exit might start a feeding frenzy across the NRL

Well two that come to mind is Roberts and the Foxx, then players that played with Souths add Koroisau there is more if anyone can add to the list 😂

NRL Round 4 Talking Points: A month is done - let’s make some hard calls

Geoff I know that Jordan Rapana is a Raiders legend and all you fans put him in cotton wool etc etc but last night he was dreadful and imo didn’t do anything even when he came into the backline, he was very hesitant under the bomb, let bombs bounce and knocked on a few occasions and the Sharks realized that and were continually kicking to him on the 5th and pinning the Raiders in their 20m, which an experienced FB should catch at least and not hesitate under any circumstances, but in saying that Kennedy did the same at the other end and was just as bad as Jordan was. I was flabbergasted (btw I tipped the Raiders) how in a span of 10min they went from 18-0 to 18-18 and tollway collapsed from the 27th min and never ever regained the initiative or scored a point until the 71st min while the Sharks had the game won, that is not a sign of a side that is doing well even if they won their first two games against pretty average sides. Good luck mate but don’t forget to have your Defibrillator close by for the up and coming games for the Raiders 😂

NRL Round 4 Talking Points: A month is done - let’s make some hard calls

I don’t know, must be that the Souths structure is just not good enough to bring the best out of these players that they buy like it is at the Panthers and the Storm as the Bunnies need an authoritative coach that cam bring everything out of these players, as imo allot of these forwards are just making up the number’s week in and week out except for Muray and Burgess.

NRL Round 4 Talking Points: A month is done - let’s make some hard calls

Nah, Wayne Bennet had nothing to do with Souths collapse since he left, as they had been collapsing since their 2014 GF win and have not had good management for decades, which is what nearly destroyed the whole South Sydney RL club forever in the late 90s. A perfect example is with their roster and recruitments where today’s problems stem from, they had some unbelievable stars in their juniors and they let them all go, but the worst blunder and brainless move, was to let Adam Reynolds go which is a perfect example of how bad these people are and how far off they are from reality!

Unfortunately, Souths have had blinker on for a long time and a “One Way” attitude of thinking, which is affecting the quality of players from wanting to play for Souths, as its clearly being shown in the 2024 roster where our forwards are way below par and blokes like Chee Kam, Host, Havili, Tatola and ShaquaiM are not pulling their weight week in week out to make an impact. Unfortunately, you can’t put brains into statues at Souths.

NRL Round 4 Talking Points: A month is done - let’s make some hard calls

Rapana is too old and too hesitant at FB and lets too many balls bounce and doesn’t commit, which is everything that a FB should not do! Rapana needs to be back on the wing, and Savage should be at FB, as he is a good kid, yes, he makes mistakes, but he needs to learn. The Raiders performance last night was dreadful and their collapse from 18-0 was absolutely unbelievable to a Shark side that wasn’t much better. Sticky has to do something with the Raider as that performance last night is not looking good for the future and its looking like the beginning of the end and could cost Sticky his job, is Stick ever sackable? 😂

NRL Round 4 Talking Points: A month is done - let’s make some hard calls

Yes, and unfortunately Souths didn’t look anything like the side that they looked last year, unfortunately and I must admit that this side is not up there with the likes of the Pnathers, Storm, Roosters and Broncos but and stanching that rubber band way beyond what it should be 😂 the Bunnies could/might beat sides like the Cowboys, Manly, Eels, Raiders and the Sharks when Graham and Arrow are back and Souths have their full side, which won’t be until R8 for Arrow and R12 for Graham.

After R4 imo the Panthers are way ahead at #1 (with a full side) and two notches behind are the Storm (with a full side) at #2 and the Broncos, Roosters are the same 3rd and 4th and the rest is a lottery. But all I can say is that my beloved Bunnies are way off and are not looking good and lets hope that they haven’t caught any bouts of Myxomatosis like they did in the late 90’s 😂 Go You Bunnies 👍

NRL Round 4 Talking Points: A month is done - let’s make some hard calls

Its NOT Seibs that is at fault with Manly, as Manly have been doing this and playing like last night for at least the last 3 years and way before Seibs was the coach. The type of RL that Manly played you won’t see even in U10s Saturday junior league footy. What Manly showed in this game is probably the worst fundamental handling errors I’ve ever seen in a game by any RL club and especially an NRL club in any weather conditions never mind in perfect weather conditions like last night. Can’t blame the coach when experienced players throw a 1m forward pass or a #9 can’t throw a dummy half pass and throws it onto the ground etc etc which are all basics of footy.

Flanno's Dragons tough it out as Manly shoot themselves in the foot, then aim again in error-strewn madness

The answers are getting better 😂 but NO solutions

'Every time we do black and white, it doesn't work': Does anyone actually understand the obstruction rule?

Has anyone experiencing blurring of videos from the NRL,com site like Match Highlights and Press Conferences or any videos, as in my MS Edge browser (and I’ve tried Chrome) they are all like that, this has come up in the last 2 months or so. Any solution will be helpful.

'Every time we do black and white, it doesn't work': Does anyone actually understand the obstruction rule?

YES YES YES and a very appropriate comment “Every team would love to have a player like Adam Reynolds calling the shots. South Sydney could definitely do with his services” as you would have to ask the geniuses at Souths why they let Adam Reynolds go when they are struggling with two very ordinary halfbacks that both don’t make up Adam Reynolds! That was a great expedition of kicking by Ryno as he’s been doing that for years and Drinkwater was a shocker so was Feldt, I just can’t understand how experienced footballers allow a ball to bounce when they are being stampeded by the opposition and don’t even make an attempt to catch a bomb. The Cowboys looked outclassed and beaten right from the get go and all night.

Oh, what a nightmare: Reynolds' brillance bamboozles back three as Broncos give Cowboys a kicking

Climate temps and conditions are cyclical and El Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO) affected Australia for 7 years and we came out of that oscillation stage just recently and that is why temps were so high and we had droughts throughout that period, we are out of that El Nino stage now and temps are back to normal and we are getting more rainfall, in my 75 years we’ve always had cyclical weather and very hot summers and droughts with bush fires droughts Australia etc etc the hot summers are not unusual and/or a drastic in Australia and/or because of climate change that I’ve notice in my lifetime.

Fair comment not coming from unfair commentators whining about rules they should know off by heart

WhoDis, good on Gould for not arguing about such an irrelevant subject with you, as all you climate change so called b’washed scholars are a waste of time. An old timer like Gould doesn’t believe in all that nonsense of climate change, as the climate hasn’t changed since I have been alive (75 years) but the tremendous cost that climate change has burdened us with has, unfortunately climate change will change people lives and its going to be catastrophic as now its affecting our food production and costs, We are all climate conscious and have always been, no one wants to destroy this planet!

Fair comment not coming from unfair commentators whining about rules they should know off by heart

I know that its typical of people like you to make comments like you do and be abusive when you don’t have a counter argument, as you have no idea what you are talking about as you only watch/listen to what msm news peddles, which makes you biased and facts don’t matter, wake up as you are being taken for a ride and are made into a boot licker yourself, as whatever you say is always what is really is happening to you, it’s a political fact that is what is happening especially in American politics and very much in Australian politics and what is happening today both in America and Australia, have a look around you.

Why desperate Rabbitohs need to adopt NRL's version of Bazball - it's a guaranteed win-win situation

😂 typical comment calling anything that you don’t agree with as a “cult” as you have no idea. Read up on the alternative facts to what msm peddle as you will find that msm is a cult not the other way around!

Why desperate Rabbitohs need to adopt NRL's version of Bazball - it's a guaranteed win-win situation

😂 😂 😂 your answer 100% proves exactly what I’m talking about, read about the real news from real unbiased sites and don’t get your news from msm, that is my best advice for you now and for the future!

Why desperate Rabbitohs need to adopt NRL's version of Bazball - it's a guaranteed win-win situation

The restricted algorithms set onto this site are absolutely disgusting and way more restrictive than allot of the fake news forums out there, when you try to make comments on an article and to the subject that are untruths peddled by the Roar. Wake up and change your standards of your algorithms as they are absolutely becoming dictatorial and very unfair and ridiculous for a sporting site and especially an NRL site to have. This is absolutely unfair as if the people don’t have freedom of speech than what else are you going to restrict or take away?

Why desperate Rabbitohs need to adopt NRL's version of Bazball - it's a guaranteed win-win situation

I beg to differ with your analysation or comparison with Donald Trump, as he would have accepted defeat of the 2020 elections if the elections were 100% fair, so this comparison with Souths is way off when you say the usual untruths that msm keep writing their untruths articles and making statements like these that “It’s a move torn straight from Donald’s Trump’s playbook, where not accepting the result throws all sensible people completely off kilter” which its NOT, as what Donald Trump did was that he was forced to challenge the result of the 2020 elections as they were false and fraudulent, have a look at a documentary about the 2020 election fraud and corruption called “2000 Mules” as its NOT what the situation is with Souths as they haven’t had any games stolen from them, referees taking games from them or bunker calls taking games away from them, Souths have been losing games because they don’t have an 80 min go and allot of their stars are out of form.

Why desperate Rabbitohs need to adopt NRL's version of Bazball - it's a guaranteed win-win situation

Spot on Cam and very well analyzed, as I’ve been harping on about when this was beginning to be apparent 2 years ago, as Souths peaked, and their last big effort was R8 against the Panthers and R9 against the Broncos in 2023 and then this side has fallen away miserably until today. Souths needs an injection of forwards as fast as possible as Tatola, ShaquaiM, Kappie are just not up to the standard to compete in NRL 2024 and especially against the top sides, as the only goers are Cam Murray and Keaon Koloamatangi who can’t do it all on their own. Lets see what happens as imo Souths main problem is that 80min effort especially Mitchell as they look at each other and if their main playmakers don’t have a go, they just fall away systematically and things go from bad to worse..
