Don’t waste your energy replying. English fans and supporters have their reputation well earned, remember the Euro finals? Yep. If anyone is to blame here its Ravi Shastri and his stupid decision. But I wonder about the covid situation in the UK, should they be going on without masks and social distancing? It was amazing to see sporting venues full of cheering crowds but scary at the same time, knowing what the worst of covid looks like.

Their reports came in negative but since their physio who just tested positive its safe to assume that a few plays will turn up positive during later tests. Mind you India had 2 physio’s, the first is already isolating because Ravi Shastri came in positive a few days earlier.

India is playing with 3 out of form batsmen in the squad with only 7 batsmen and 4 no 11’s. It is a massive cause for concern. Kholi, Pujara and Rahanne haven’t looked good for a while but still have been persisted with the belief that players of their class will come good sooner rather than later. I feel this series might be the that “later” I mentioned for Pujara and Rahane. I personally feel Pujara and Rahne have a confidence and psychological issue to battle other than their poor form. If they can’t battle them and make a quick turn around, it might as well be the end of the road for both of them. Kholi is a different story as he is a sure shot selection for now but if Pujara and Rahane are dropped owing to poor performance, questions will be asked about Kholi as well.

When do bowlers get treated fairly in cricket again? But the decision is understandable, if it weren’t for Root the match would have been over in day 4 itself.

Australian cricket has a problem. The problem is discrimination.
Every series I notice that selectors are happy to pick players who have consistently not performed, they don’t perform and keep getting picked. Mathew Wade is the person that I have in mind when I say this, have a look at his international record and you will know he is not a batsman fit for an international side. I do watch a fair bit of cricket and have seen Wade bat many times and not once have I been impressed. The only thing that that has stuck me about him is his trash talking/sledging. He is presently the captain of Aussie touring party while better batsmen like Travis Head, Shaun Marsh and Usman Khwaja are not even considered for the squad. Its like they are not cool enough to merit section or something.
This is not a case with Wade and the other players I mention either. Australia like to carry a fair few players like Wade who don’t merit selection while others with more talent and potential are snubbed.
