Well said mate. It’s business and we don’t have the mega capacity ‘football stadiums’. Although ANZ can be configured as rectangle like it is for league. It’s not the same but it’s not far off
The Sydney Derby needs to visit ANZ Stadium
All good to push for a bigger Pirtek but it’ll take years and cost millions.
The Sydney Derby needs to visit ANZ Stadium
I’m by no means a big fan of ANZ but it’s the only stadium with the capacity … it’s business
The Sydney Derby needs to visit ANZ Stadium
It’s one game, every two years. I’d bet the majority would still do the pre game at Parra before heading to homebush. It’s 20 mins tops by train from Parra to Olympic Park. It takes roughly 10-15 minutes to walk from Parra CBD to Pirtek
The Sydney Derby needs to visit ANZ Stadium
I’m not very good at “matchs” mate but it’s about giving the biggest fixture in Sydney room to grow.
Theyre going to have to expand Parra Stadium regardless due to the growth of the Wanderers, and hopefully the Eels. Moving one game every two years is hardly going to be a deal breaker.
I get the passion, but you’re looking at this purely from a Wanderers perspective. That in itself is fine, but at least admit there are some very real positives of moving the game to the bigger stadium for the game itself
The Sydney Derby needs to visit ANZ Stadium
Very good call on the business on game day mate, but I think the game has to take precedence.
I’d only be comfortable with ANZ fixtures if it were every year, as both sides would know in advance re the home game issue. If it were only for Wanderers home games, I’d be against it.
Yup I’d def be in the minority mate. As a Wanderers fans I pref Parra Stadium to all, but if I was to think not like a fan, I think ANZ is the best bet all day long
The Sydney Derby needs to visit ANZ Stadium
That was just an example for those who hadn’t seen the 50/50 split before Towser 🙂
The third game should be be neutral for mine. 50/50 split of profits
The Sydney Derby needs to visit ANZ Stadium
I’m a Wanderers member mate.
Noone would give up home advantage, it’s be a neutral venue for the third game each yr with both teams hosting one each.

Maroon mate,
“Sam Thaiday and now Papalii have been given the task to partner Woods after Sheens sensationally overlooked Aiden Tolman, Josh McGuire and Brenton Lawrence, just to name a few.”
I would have picked him in the squad from the get go. Perhaps he made himself unavailable knowing he’d def get a start for Samoa?
Sheens left Klemmering for big men
I’d say you’re in the majority Ryan mate. Most people seem to think it was spot on, but I just don’t think 50,000 is worth a random tweet.
How many people have tweeted that their bosses/work place are so and so?
I’d bet a fair few … smart money is that they didn’t get caught and/or cop a 50k fine.
Gal is a national treasure haha
Gallen's $50k fine: NRL punishment is massive overkill
haha thanks James, I think :-p
I have to admit I laughed at the irony, but I totally get the true meaning behind it.
Dragons fans breathe fire as Morris goes to the Dogs
Would be massive, but the FFA would never miss out on a chance to cash in. Which is probably fair
The Derby derby: Is Sydney bigger than Melbourne?
thanks mate 🙂
As previously mentioned, I went off an earlier report than had Villa leaving before this weekend’s game.
Yes, the El Clasico is better than the Lakeside derby.
This was written to encourage discussion, which is what it has done. There’s no right or wrong answer, it’s all opinion
The Derby derby: Is Sydney bigger than Melbourne?
I’d love to see the third derby of each moved to ANZ/the MCG just to see how many people would turn up. Imagine 60,000 plus at either, would be incredible!!!
The Derby derby: Is Sydney bigger than Melbourne?
The Sydney derby, if moved to ANZ, would put 60,000 plus there, without doubt.
Villa will play, my mistake, I went off the early reports that he was doing straight home, but will instead go after Round 4.

He’s not listed in the team section :-/
After three wooden spoons, the Sydney Thunder are aiming for silverware
Blizzard did play the Champs League tho recently and played well. Morgan destroyed the Aussie bowling line up under 12 months ago in Australia. Kallis is perhaps the best all rounded of all time, and Hussey was the Thunder leading run scorer 12 months ago.

None of the elite fighters will fight Golovkin as they know he’ll ice them.
Cotto is a legend of the sport, I’m a HUGE fan, but he goes to sleep if he steps up.
I think Golovkin is the man who can put Money away. If they can agree on a weight of course

Parrafan mate I think you’re spot on. Sign a letter with another club, show you’re semi serious about moving on, and the current club will rush to up its offer.
Letters of intent are a waste of paper
thanks mate. I think it would be HUGE. Even as just a one off
