And “a lack of injury helps too?” So you’re not aware Swans Captain Mills is out, add to that our bullocking Parker, and Adams, the guy we bought to the team to help strengthen our midfield?

Footy Fix: Don't panic just yet, Pies fans... but there's now a blueprint to bring the premiers down

Swans will be in contention 2024.

Does John Longmire's 'all-in' strategy shift suggest it may be his last two years of AFL coaching?

I hope the Swans do go for Croft, and force the Bulldogs to use an earlier pick than they want to. We’ve already forced them to pay overs for Naughton on a ridiculously long contract! 😂

Totally agree with your assessment. Can’t blame Buddy, as the players look for him, but he is often manned up by 2 or 3 opposition backmen, which obviously leaves 2 or 3 Swans forwards loose, kick it to one of them.

Swans must move on from Buddy-centric forward line

I’ll be glad when Buddy’s kicked his 1,000, get the monkey off his back!

ANALYSIS: 'An extraordinary performance'- AFL instant classic as Swans star outshines Buddy with famous five, Giants' 'out and out jet' emerges

Ended up being the best game of the round, pressure all the way from both teams as nominated by many commentators.

You can’t sell Buddy for a year, he’s on a contract, and besides, he’s worth every penny!

'Swans and Bombers fans can be satisfied': Elimination final losers pave the way to a brighter future

“It is unfortunately very likely that the loser of an elimination final drops out of the finals”? It’s not just unlikely, its a fact every time. Thats why it’s called an elimination final, the loser is eliminated!

UPDATE: Swans succeed in appealing Buddy ban

The precedent has been set by the AFL on at least 3 occasions this year, if they want to start rubbing players out for this offence, do it as soon as possible at the start of the season, not in round 19.

😁 😁 😁 😁 I didn’t know we had jokers on here!

You’re a racist, look in the mirror and you will see a racist.

Thinking about Goodes

Joel Selwood, captain of the Geelong Cats has been guilty of diving, ducking his head in order to get free kicks, and he’s not the only one. He doesn’t get booed, which makes me think that the booing of Adam Goodes was racism!
With Shaun Burgoyne recently achieving the 400 games milestone, it brought back to me the fact that Adam Goodes should have been in that club, the fifth player in that revered group ahead of Burgoyne, because I believe Adam could easily have achieved that goal, he was only 28 games short of that tally at the time.

Thinking about Goodes

Yes, he is in strife! I don’t believe it was necessarily deliberate, but it was certainly careless, and could have caused a serious injury, I’m surprised that Mills jaw wasn’t broken!

Is Luke Shuey in strife for this elbow to the head?

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Round 4

I understand and would normally agree with you, we both know that young players don’t have the stamina to play at their best for a full season. However, the Swans are very much without injury (unlike the past few years), and we still have many young players that can be rotated throughout the season. Exciting players waiting to get back in include Dylan Stephens, James Rowbottom, Will Hayward, Sam Naismith, Matthew Ling, Callum SInclair, Will Gould, Justin McInerney, James Bell, Colin O’Riordan and Buddy Franklin. If we can stay relatively Injury free, with those players should be able to rotate throughput the year and keep the players fresh.

These young Bloods are the real deal

The AFL needs Lance Franklin

I said over the past two years!

The AFL needs Lance Franklin

Neither Plugger or Dunstall could kick goals from outside 50, Buddy kicks them from 60m and more!

The AFL needs Lance Franklin

Those retirements were in 2019, a little more than one season ago!

The AFL needs Lance Franklin

I don’t believe you can put the Swans low position on the ladder over the past two years down to Franklin’s injuries. We’ve had a huge turnover of players with the retirements of 2012 premiership stars Jarrad McVeigh (325), Kieren Jack (256), Heath Grundy (256) and Nick Smith (211) in one season and the loss of Dan Hannebery meant the Swans waved goodbye to 1256 games of experience. It takes time to replace players of that calibre.

The AFL needs Lance Franklin

You’ve got Sydney at 18, did you happen to see any Swans games during the past season? We were competitive against every team in 2020 bar one. With the retirements of 2012 premiership stars Jarrad McVeigh (325), Kieren Jack (256), Heath Grundy (256) and Nick Smith (211) in the off season meant the Swans waved goodbye to 1048 games from the previous season, but still we thrashed GWS, fell 1 goal short against the Cats, and had some admirable wins. This was despite being without Heeney, Franklin, Rampe, Hewitt, Naismith and Sinclair, through injury for most if not all of the season.

Sydney Swans will be competing for the top 8 this coming season, not 18th.

My predictions for the 2021 AFL season

You’ve never done the wrong thing in your life? We are all a result of our upbringing, but nothing to stop us from changing that if he has the desire. He can learn from this and grow.
