Yes, the quality of the referee decisions could improve & yes we have been on the receiving end of some shockers but that is no excuse for such a poor performance. Our last three matches were just rubbish. No excuses.
I think that Rudan should do the honourable thing & resign. His ridiculous tirades were just embarrassing & does not do the people of Western Sydney justice.
Perhaps if he goes now WSW can somehow regain composure on the pitch & save our season. Otherwise, methinks we shall make an ugly slide down the ladder.

Agree with the lack of quality of some of our referees. This is the cause of a lot of the frustration for players, coaches & fans.

I do support some of the things he said & I think that (just quietly) some of the other club’s coaches may even agree with him. However, he does us no favours by representing his team, club & Western Sydney as an ill-mannered bully. As others have already posted here, Rudan needs to behave more professionally & show a little class.

Waz – it’s a bit harsh to wish that WSW don’t win another game while Rudan is the coach.

I’ve recently had heated discussions with people telling me “their truth”, “my truth”, “your truth” – what utter BS. 😡
There is only one ‘truth’ & that’s THE truth.
However, I digress
Not sure about this blue card business – I’d like to see more yellow cards given for time-wasting, dissent, simulation. I’d like to see the number of players surrounding the Ref & arguing contentious decisions be reduced so only the team captain being able to approach the Ref (referees are human, they don’t deserve to be intimidated or bullied). I’d like to see refereeing decisions be consistent within matches let alone for all matches.
As for local football clubs – yellow cards should be given to parents for abusive language & behaviour directed to refs. This would send a strong message to their children. Many a time I’ve witnessed abusive behaviour & foul language when our children played football (up to 20 years ago now) to the point when we had to run on the field after one match to protect the teenage Ref from angry & abusive opposition coach & parents. It was ugly & sickening.

I doubt that the referees are particularly bias for or against WSW but (as I wrote) there is a stigma attached to ‘Westies’.

WSW fan here – we don’t all agree with Rudan & we don’t all subscribe to conspiracy theories. There’s ‘passion’ & then there is just petulance & dummy spitting.
However, football aside, you must agree that there is a certain stigma attached to the ‘Westies’ in Sydney.
I don’t consider Macarthur vs WSW a derby match – bit contrived to be honest. Just enjoy watching the game. WSW vs Syd FC – now that’s a real derby! West vs east, working class vs bling/glam/smurfs. The emotion is visceral. Pride of the West & all that…
I hope Rudan’s ranting is not a deliberate attempt to stir up animosity & create an “Us vs Them’ menality. It’s not positive, it’s not constructive & creates a poor mindset for players & fans.

We usually watch Paramount via smart TV – only issue we have is occasional buffering.

Why would I unsubscribe from Paramount+ because of fear of what misguided decision the APL may make next? If we don’t support the broadcaster then where would the game be?

I don’t oppose the concept either & wish it well. See what happens next season & then re-think it or forget it altogether.
We were at Commbank Stadium last night & watched both games – Mac vs WUN was an entertaining game with 6 goals. Enjoyable to watch as a neutral. Many Macarthur fans did stay on for the WSW match, didn’t notice too many for WUN. RBB made for a great atmosphere – thanks drummers! Looking forward to tonight’s games – from the couch 😊

I agree chris1. ..Western Sydney certainly is a ‘hotbed’ of emotions & diverse cultures. Someone like Monty would be a great representative.
