and what about broncos talk earlier this year of trying to sign coach X or Y or Z for 2020 season? you don’t think this got bennett thinking about his future? this was broncos talk, not Bennett. remember they came out and said they had bennetts permission to talk with bellyache. and this bellyache talk was for 2019 season, not 2020

you are kidding me, yes? you have never heard of the term “re-inventing the wheel”? happens all the time, new guy comes in and kills all the offspring of the previous alpha male and sets about establishing his dynasty. happens when the new guy coming in doesn’t have any self belief of his own strength and weaknesses and fears for his position and only has his cronies there to shore up his position. yes, I’m being satirical relating it to sports admin but that’s the history. new guy comes in and sets up his board and then tears down what they didn’t like and then establishes their “new ideas”. people get sick of the old board, turfs them out, new board comes in, throws out the old ideas blah blah blah until eventually, we come back to the new “old ideas that worked years ago”. much money wasted and good people thrown out because they didn’t like the trendy “new ideas” of the guy trying to throw out the old board.

I liked Markham as a player also and I can’t imagine that as an attack coach he can be as useless as the Wallabies are in attack. If he is being chiekmated *pun* , surely he can’t just be sitting back and saying nothing. But, as others have said here, the Brumbies weren’t that good under his coaching.

Thank you for mentioning Devin Toner. He’s now my favorite Irish player. He reminds me of Skylab Steve Cutler from waratahs/Wallabies many years ago but is a bit more of a mean machine. Love watching him play.

Yeah, I agree. Our 2015 coach of the year clown/coach is soooooo cunning that he’s waited until less than 12 months before the next world cup to blood new players so they have plenty of time to get ready for RWC2019. (That’s sarcasm) 😉

Ditto from me. I watched the England/kiwi game and went to bed with the thought that I can read about the game in the morning. A very wise move, I knew I’d be too cranky to sleep if I sat up and watched it live. One of my newly discovered talents in the last 3 year’s is my ability to know that the clown and captain chaos (not talking about his play, just his captaincy) will let me down again.

During halftime of bledisloe 2, Chieka was asked about why we were getting pushed around in Ricks and mauls, his reply was that we were going in too high and needed to go lower. If that is “detail in training”, tell me what is. Game plans and sticking to them is details that should be ironed out at training. Taking penalties or not to take penalties is details in training.

We needed “a few years” a few years ago. I wasn’t a forward so I don’t try to pretend that I know what goes on there. All I know is that Chieka has a hard on for the color blue so unless you wear blue, you aren’t given much chance. I give you rob Simmons as an example. Fine player he is/was. But he was on the way out at the reds. Put him in a blue jersey and he’s the new messiah. James Horwill dragged back from UK for 15 minutes game time. AAC dragged back. Young guys given a run but then discarded if they don’t fit the coaches eye. The puzzle continues to this day.

Our 2015 coach of the year is the brains. Players only play to what the coach tells them, that’s called “the game plan”. If the game plan is shit, then you know who to blame, not the players. If the players don’t follow the game plan, you know who to blame. That’s how it normally works, but this isn’t a normal team
