I was surprised at the lack of rugby nouse when no change in tackling approach when wrestling obviously failed. Needed a low-legs chopper as well as wrestler.

Eddie has done what was needed four years ago and ripped the bandaid off. Now he's breathed life into Aussie rugby

The team picked did not suit the ‘game plan’. Constant kicking away the ball meant a great deal of energy used for no involvement. I am not convinced we have the personnel to implement such an energy-sapping game plan.

'What was with that defensive set up?': Jones-Hodgson combo must get up to speed fast with Fisher absence clear to see

I think Faingaa is significantly underrated. Most of the lineout issues he had was the constant changing of personnel particularly lifters as well as jumpers. He is obviously a master at he back of the maul, is a big body and his link play is above any of the other hookers mentioned. In international competition, his lineout, scrum and defensive work has been as good as any of the ‘favourites’.

Who is winning the battle for the Wallabies No.2 jersey?

If you look at Mounga he was older than Noah before he started to shine. As well he had more creative backs outside him and behind him and a powerful pack in front of him. Give the guy time and support.

Gulf of class still exists – but Eddie has good squad to pick from, including one giant prospect: SRP Talking Points

No doubt Peter Hewatt made a difference with Brums and Australian Schools. Sorry to see him go! Should try to entice him back. I get frustrated by the lack of quality of tight fives across the spectrum of Aus franchises. Apart from Valetini we do not have anyone who consistently crosses the advantage line. Until we fix this element we are unlikely to get much happening with our backs, especially opportunities for 10s to organise and lead the attack.
