Back in the pack indeed. The difference in class to the teams the Blues have lost to is telling. The upcoming games in the weeks ahead could well see the Blues mired mid-table and hard to recover from there.

Regarding the criticism on Sam Walsh when it counted seems unfair to me. He had a decent game, however N Daicos is clearly in a class of his own.

The Reigning Premiers seem to have regained their mojo and altered their game plan and style. Time will tell but perhaps premiership coach C McCrae just gave S Goodwin a free tutorial how to position Weitering on the ground to limit his impact.

Fun Fact: The previous twenty games dating back a decade: Collingwood 16 wins. Carlton 4 wins.

Footy Fix: Bad blunders, unsung heroes and THAT Nick Daicos moment - the 232-second story of another Pies-Blues classic

Can anyone please advise why @Macca no longer posts comments on articles relating to The Premiers – Collingwood? Am asking for a friend.

‘Premiership’ filth. 🙂

Best you stick to posting stats and anaylysing your internal dialogue about which Carlton players will be cut at seasons end.

Six Points: Cram the Crows condescending, Bucks, Swans weren't that good, and the rule change AFL must make

Carlton can have the 8 matches they are scheduled to play at Marvel Stadium this season. Bravo. I wonder how the underground car park construction is progressing at Ikon Park.

Can we please have some post round stats from @Macca?

Six Points: There's one way to stamp out floppers, 2023's dirtiest act, and enjoying the most even season in years

More stats from The Macca please! Thoroughly entertaining. Rinse and repeat.

Six Points: Calling out Daicos' dog act, and the commonsense alternative to 'interchange-gate'

Macca, as a Carlton supporter still mired in the Round 23 loss to Collingwood that pushed the Blues out of the 8 for the first time of the season on the eve of the finals, is it irony, satire or parody that you are publishing comments on an article about this season’s top eight being rated and which teams can actually win the flag? Am asking for a friend.

The top eight rated: Which teams can actually win the flag?

Macca, to be clear this article is about this seasons top eight being rated and which teams can actually win the flag. The ‘author’ cited Carlton in the article and subsequently some readers responded to the reference. It’s your business as to why you’d contribute to the above subject matter or otherwise, especially so given Carlton have zero relevence to the subject matter moving forward.

The top eight rated: Which teams can actually win the flag?

Well put PTS. The proverbial phrase glass half empty or half full is clearly is relevant here. Pessimism v Optimism! Be careful who you surround yourselves with!

The top eight rated: Which teams can actually win the flag?

The probability of something occurring is related to its frequency. The sample size of 12 out of 13 is a relatively small sample size so your claim isn’t relevant to the subject matter.

The top eight rated: Which teams can actually win the flag?

And here we are today contributing comments to an article about which teams can win the 2022 flag. Juxtapose that with Macca (still) providing an entertaining blow by blow of his ongoing pain of why Carlton missed the finals for the ninth straight year and you would be hard pressed not to find some elements schadenfreude.

For what it’s worth, Macca will again argue the point that it’s not worth Carlton making the finals this season. Am tipping P Cripps, who have played over 150 odd matches / 9 seasons would give an arm to be on the big stage this weekend.

That’s Gold Opps74 ….. and add to that Macca viewed the recent Front Bar episode. Hilarious! 🙂
Eight teams remain moving into September. At the same time ten sets of fans wait for the commencement of the trade period and forecast what their respective teams future might hold while at the same time ……….. with one eye looking at what the finalists are doing on the big stage in big games.

AFL News: Anyone making Magpies their second team? Heeney can kick Swans into gear, Adams out of finals

What you stated is hypothetical. What actually transpired was something closer to reality.
What is also real is that players like Cripps (9 seasons), Curnow (12 seasons), Weitering et al have yet to play in September.

Six Points: Get ready for a terrible six months Carlton fans, and toxic Zorko can't stay on as Lions captain

Let’s agree to disagree. In my mind winning and form are interdependent, especially so over a six game sample size.

Six Points: Get ready for a terrible six months Carlton fans, and toxic Zorko can't stay on as Lions captain

Safe to say the Blues form leading into the match was a clear indicator. Having won once in their past six outings was telling.

Like I sad – you’re clutching at straws. Was clear as mud Cripps act was going to attract weeks. Shame the lad won’t be playing the last two games.
