So his last performance in Gold should be ignored?
I don’t think he’s up to being in the Wallaby squad based on past performance. I also don’t know where he’d be played. He’s to small for lock and I think there are better options in the backrow.
In saying that I would love for him to have a great Super rugby season and push to be part of it. We are in week 2 of the season and there is a long way to go.

Jed, Ned and Tane Edmed: The direction Joe Schmidt should head to put Eddie era to bed

There was no outcome from throwing the ball off the lineout that was going to work out well. Down and pop holds up the defence and gives them options. He was the caller to from memory so needs to take full responsability.

Jed had his chance last year. At the MCG he won the lineout 5m out from the tryline and then gifted NZ the try by popping the ball down to a defenceless Tate who was smashed and Barrett scored the try. This lack of game awareness is not something we should want in a Wallaby player.

Guess I had a different experience to the guys you spoke to. Not accusing you of writing something fictitious, just putting my point of view across.
All I know is that he was good to me.
Also, when the first Uni juniors team played he was there, supporting the club and the coaches.
I’m also happy he wasn’t made Reds coach. Think he needs more experience as an assistant coach in a pro environment.

'Our system is failing': The 'crisis' sinking Australian rugby - and the 'crucified' coach that shows it

Have to disagree Gary. Having coached at Uni when Heenan was Premier coach I found him to be very supportive. He was happy to have a chat and would have other teams involved with Premier training. Lots of young guys were nurtured into that Premier team over a few years by sitting on the bench and being given game time along side senior players for the back end of games. The fact that the club had success for 10+ years under him is a reflection of that.
He is back coaching at Premier level this year at Bond Uni and I’m sure they will have years of success under him.

How do you figure that? RA had to be involved in the process and this has been in the pipeline longer than some social media posts on the weekend.

I as happy to bag RA for their failings but this is actually being proactive towards the Women’s game.

RA appoint women's High Performance Manager (thanks to World Rugby help), and commit to fulltime coach next year
