That has to be the dumbest suggestion I have heard…in that case we will have the tea lady at your place of employment decide whether you get a pay rise and/or bonus at the end of each year…each to their opinion but cmon pal…be logical and sensible about it…

I’ve said for a number of years that the game of rugby league is dying a slow death due to mainly the incompetence of those running the game. When V’Landys guides the game through COVID, everyone was willing to knight him…he is proving to be another disaster in the long list since Quayle and Arko…this new 6-again rule proves this…and I’m not even taking these head injuries into account…the game is the most brutal in the world..it was fast enough as it was 5-10 years ago…why the frigging hell do you want to make it faster?…the players deserve a few seconds here and there during the game to regroup…re-breathe (not a word I know)…no thought of implications…ridiculous logic…behind every recent rule change decision…personified perfectly in this case…apologies for the rant…the game we all love is being destroyed…

I’m still trying to figure out the relevance of this article…why don’t you undergo research that covers 20 years, say since the turn of the century and provide your findings…that’s a discussion not one that covers 3-4 years with 2020 being a right-off…cmon mate…

Prior to Bellamy arriving the storm were only in the comp for 4 years and won the Comp in their second year…hardly a rebuild..don’t give me that rubbish…he was coaching a side that was 3m over the salary cap for how many years?…5…you talk about poaching…they didn’t need to…paying the players way over what was allowed…the recent years, I’ll give him credit…but you can give the same credit to a number of coaches…the love fest is what is not imo, justified…anyway, enjoy the season…

Out of curiosity…who do you support Gore?…Regarding rule changes…I’ve been watching the game since 1976…administrations aware killing if not have killed this game…only a handful of rule changes have made the game better…all I know is and anyone can correct me if I’m wrong….re faster game…the game is quick enough as it is…for crying out load….touch football it has become…obvious changes/amendments are not being implemented and we introduce ridiculous subjective rules like the 6-again and 2-point field goals…we argue about time wasting but why not just stop the clock everyone points are scored until kick-off…problem solved…oh wait…that will add more to the overall game…and channel 9 doesn’t what that…sheez….apologies for the rant…it’s a shame seeing what the game has become and could go on…

Bellamy has NEVER had to (re) build a team…same goes for Robinson at the rorters…they’ve had champion players and teams…would love to see them build a team up, struggle then win the ultimate prize…until then…imo…good yes…not as good as people think…re Bennet…should have won 10+ premierships with the Origin teams he had at the Broncos…everyone gets carried away when analysing players/coaches…branding the word “champion” “best ever” far to loosely…imo…

Agree with comments…I think we have great depth in forwards regardless losing AFB…Paseka is just one the verge of exploding…Sipley is the forgotten man…whom I rate and Oka is finding his feet and will be a gun with game time…missing Fainu…he turns Manly into contenders imo…

Big losses?…AFB…is a big loss…that’s it…we have more than enough to cover especially with the emergence of Paseka….we’ve added speed out wide which we lacked…options around the park but #9 is problematic…unfortunately…hoping Fainu is back for H2 of the season and if we are hopefully travelling well…he’ll be a massive in…time will tell…

Firstly, let me say I’m all for a draw after 80 min (regular season). 1 point each…Golden point had nothing to do with the game…corporate dollars…that’s it…so in saying that, you cannot seriously contemplate offering points for a loss…2 for a win, 1 for a draw and zero for a loss…each team plays x games and can get y points…not y z a b or c points…why not offer half point if you get through the first period of golden point?…silly I know…stop frigging with the game…

Agree 100% bear…the bigger issue which seems to have been forgotten is the continued errors made by officials which is ruining the sport…I’ve harped on this for years…blatant errors…makes you think wtf are they looking at…no feel for the game…to many subjective rules…the better team doesn’t win anymore…it’s all down to the refs “opinion”….are we serious?????

The officials get paid very good money…more than the average Aussie…and they continue to be incompetent…either sack them or train harder…if I was as incompetent I would have been shown the door…so I have zero sympathy…

All three are no great losses…Mitchell only played in game 1…Cleary did sweet f.a…still think he’s overrated…and Ado Carr is a winger…keary…cotric and staggs to partner incumbent turbo in centres…the jet and xerri need to learn now to tackle before being even considered for origin…and ps…your not going to waste turbo on the wing….
