Oh, I have. Him and Nic are regularly excellent.

Winning in Tokyo: Finding the sun

What a wonderful story of stories. I actually logged in to comment, which I almost never do. This really fleshed out not only the players’ but also the country. I found the descriptions of the different communities really interesting as I had little idea about the, previously. On top of all that, you write wonderfully. This was really top shelf stuff.

Winning in Tokyo: Finding the sun

This had some killer lines in it. Really cracked me up.

Crackling and Spanks: Wallaby woes, missing Dockers and The Voice

I can’t believe your articles don’t get more attention. I just found them recently and, despite not caring about league, Australian cricket, or AFL, greatly enjoy them – both the funny ones and the serious ones (the test cricket one was beautifully written).

Crackling and Spanks: The aftermath

He lives near me in Japan. When I see him in the supermarket he just looks kind of old, honestly.

Do the Wallabies have reason to be cheerful from Bledisloe 3?

Excellent. Really enjoyed that and the point it made.

In defence of the indefensible: Elton Jantjies and the Swiss cheese

As a New Zealander, I just assumed he’d be cited. Eye gouging or not, hands all over the face near the eyes is usually grounds for a card at least. It struck me as a very out of character thing for Franks to do.

SANZAAR right not to cite Franks: Hansen

You’d have to expect a punishment for that, wouldn’t you?

Highlights: All Blacks win the Bledisloe Cup, yet again

Yeah, I was really surprised to see that in subsequent replays. I wouldn’t have expected that from him.

Highlights: All Blacks win the Bledisloe Cup, yet again

Eh? Do you mean any team ‘other than England, who have already done precisely that’?

Highlights: All Blacks win the Bledisloe Cup, yet again

That did look pretty bad in the replay, I must say. Seems out of character for Franks, but I’d imagine he’s going to have to front up for that one.

Wallabies expect action against Franks

I wish I could see this!
Doing a great job, though, DC.

Blues vs Crusaders highlights: Crusaders go top of the table

Really pleased the Blues are showing some heart (and the skill to go with it) his year. Well, often at least.

Blues vs Crusaders highlights: Crusaders go top of the table

What the eff is going on this weekend?! All the underdogs inspiring each other?

Blues vs Crusaders highlights: Crusaders go top of the table

This one or a couple featuring the Chiefs. I haven’t seen this games of such exceptional quality in a while. Remember all those rolling mauls last year?

Despite epic Highlanders loss, the Crusaders aren't finished

You mean they want fewer good, flowing, spirited games??? That’s what I saw last night.

Despite epic Highlanders loss, the Crusaders aren't finished

Watched it delayed. It’s now 12:44am and I just about have my sh*t back together. That was absolutely mental! The Highlanders just WANT it so much, and when they get the chance they don’t shy away from pulling out their fancy stuff straightaway. The coolness of Sopoaga to spot the chance, select the option, then carry it out to perfection after such a draining twenty minutes of full on defence…! Stunning.
What a game!

Highlanders vs Crusaders highlights: Super Rugby live scores, blog

Brumbies were like RWC 2015 Wales! All that possession and… nothing. Smash, recycle, smash, recycle, smash…
Could not believe how little impact or incision they displayed.

The good news for Australian rugby is that the Wallabies are chosen from all the teams, and there are definitely enough good players to choose from (with a serious question mark over halfback).

#BoldandtheBrumbies saga ends: No more excuses on the field

Just testing their hypothesis. The Brumbies are a cerebral bunch.

#BoldandtheBrumbies saga ends: No more excuses on the field

Very interesting background piece, thank you.
With Super Rugby now in five countries I wish broadcasters would go back to their old habit of showing footagefrom around the local area before the game started. It would help add to the spectacle as well as placing teams and matches in a wider context.

Rugby in Argentina: How to understand the Jaguares and Pumas

Fantastic result from a mental game -so much back and forth. Really pleased to see the Sunwolves still had the legs at the end AND, like the Brave Blossoms against South Africa, chanced their arm at the end.
Also stoked to see a big, active crowd. Most games I’ve attended here have been positively funereal in atmosphere.

Sunwolves vs Jaguares highlights: Sunwolves claim their first Super Rugby victory

Man I hope this works. If sounds like a good, realistic start. With the talented population to draw on, given time if could by great. Gotta keep expectations realistic of course.

ProRugby: Here we go

Thanks for the reply.

Reds vs Highlanders highlights: Reds stun the defending champions

Amazing result. Thought he’d been dropped, but he came back, then I thought he was just making up the numbers, but he broke away with the Etixx guy, then I thought he’d be chewed up before the velodrome, but he hung in, then I thought he’d be ridden down in the final sprint, but he won the *jolly* thing!
His reaction was remarkable. He was in complete shock when he got off the bike. Incredible to see.
Good work that man.

Paris-Roubaix 2016: Spring Classics results, blog

So many handling errors by the Highlanders. I missed the first half – was it raining or something?
What was the key to the Reds’ first half form? From what the commentators said it sounded like Gill (McGill?) And Kurevi.
