We should keep a home made trophy for all of our boys, insignia will say “Winner of All matches except Final” 😊

Champions! Australia U19s break 14-year drought with dominant World Cup final win, India bridesmaids again

About time someone said something about this. I have been saying about this for last two years. We are already seeing the problems. With Rahane and Pujara gone, batting looks brittle with our 36 year old captain at top. Our main two spinners are 37 and 35. I do not see anyone in the horizon who comes within 100 nautical miles of being considered replacement for them. Comparing them to Australia, their core playing group is aged in between 32-35. Oldest being Khawaja who can be replaced and the other being Nathan Lyon. He can be replaced too. Australia will face trouble filling their number 3 & 4 position. In case of us, bar the fast bowling brigade, rest of it will be very bumpy ride .

When King Kohli goes, India's golden era of Test cricket goes with him

It’s still just a question of time before the Indian 3rd 11 can whip everyone for fun
I believe this fantasy , born out of chappell commentary, is about to get a massive reality check. Money itself does not produce quality. It is like saying Gulf Kingdoms , spoiled with petrodollars, is just some time away from being superpower because they have money.

You are mistaken, i do not give a hoot about your point. For you folks who were trying to frame your previous effort of “letting jews settle in israel” now acting naively. This is a typical western guilt point. Because west is finding out rest of the world is figuring out west’s bs. And for dropping a line, let us know how you “volunteers” are doing in Ukraine.

With pleasure, when are you leaving the aboriginals?

'Some human rights are inalienable': Khawaja scores a win in battle to display peace logo - as Albanese backs opener

Says who? You? As if i care how ICC, ACB or that useless UN acts? Yes he encouraged me in the political beliefs that colonials must be held accountable. What are you gonna do about it?

'Some human rights are inalienable': Khawaja scores a win in battle to display peace logo - as Albanese backs opener

I appreciate UK’s being vocal about human rights. But some people from certain part of the globe always jump in to ask for the equal treatment.
We will be equal, after we deal with the history of colonization. It is quite funny, the supposed Euro transported “americans” whine more about Israel’s history than their own history. We know what happened in Native America, and the gun loving “civilians” are not going anywhere until we say so.

'Some human rights are inalienable': Khawaja scores a win in battle to display peace logo - as Albanese backs opener

No, he is calling for freedom of human rights, not criminals. If every criminals claim human rights, then we let go off the history of colonization that still stands today.

'Some human rights are inalienable': Khawaja scores a win in battle to display peace logo - as Albanese backs opener

Sure, as soon as natives are given back native america & you leave the land of aboriginals. It would be brave for you to lead by example.

I had an off topic question. I was watching both tests, this one as well as our boy’s under-9 level game against South Africa. I wanted to ask, If Australia had to field another test side hypothetically, whose members are under 30, baring the playing 11 today, who would be that 11?

Pat Cummins – I am most expensive buy in IPL history 😁

Starc raving mad: Aussie to bank insane $13,000 per ball in IPL as Cummins and Head also go for big bucks

I had a question that was not related to the thread.
I am not not well versed on Australian domestic cricket, so i wanted to ask, how many fast bowlers are there in domestic circuit in Australia who can bowl 145+ kmph within age of 25-26 ? Matching those levels of Brett Lee,Jason Gillespie,Mitchell Johnson and co? I had a feeling that we have not seen those fire breathing traditional Australian bowlers for some time. I have seen some here and there like Spencer Johnson, Riley Meredith, Jhye Richardson, Billy Stanlake, and recently Lance Morris. But they are very few. We have not seen teenage sensation like Pat Cummins in a long time from Australia.
Another question i had, was about potential number 3 and number 4 in Australian middle order. Is there any potential candidate in domestic circuit who could replace current ones?

The main contenders (and a dark horse) for David Warner's soon-to-be-vacant Test opening spot

I believe this article is on point. I would add one more. A bit of arrogance and over confidence, perhaps from the supporters but it touched our players as well, comparing ourselves with that all conquering Australia of 2003. I do not think particularly that winning all matches is counter productive. Australia won 2003,2007 without being challenged. In 2007 the closest match was played by Australia vs South Africa in league matches where Australia won by 80 odd if i remember correctly. It is about putting 11 who have been tried and tested. Teams like Australia, New Zealand groom their players with these experience from their state cricket. Here, we are overly dependent on a core group of players to get us through while others just play around them.
The Final match exactly played out how i called it in the morning of the match. The reason why Australia broke tradition of batting first in Finals is because of their confidence from the semi final, as well as from their group stage matches. It does not matter if you huff and puff across the line or do it in canter, the fact always remains constant that, Australia wins. That is what happened in final. After winning the semi against a team that was known for putting big score batting first, winning against probably one of best all round bowling cartel chasing when the ball was turning squarely, Australia knew they had their 11 who would win no matter what, dew or no dew.
New Zealand went unbeaten in 2015 world cup up until final, we were unbeaten in 2015 up until semi final, these do not mean much.
I knew what was going to happen the moment South Africa lost that match.

'India still best 50 overs team in the world': Former star blames 'sandpaper pitch' and toss of the coin for World Cup loss

Yet they are test world champions, not us. It is like we always excel in class tests, assignments only to botch the final exam. There is no jibe. They have world test championship. We have zero nada lul. We may defeat them on Jupiter for all I care. Does not mean anything if we can not win that 30 minutes or one match that matters most of all.

High-risk, ultimate reward: How Australia can deliver knockout blows to take down India in World Cup final

I believe this is 60-40 in favour of Australia. We do not have home advantage against them. They are only team to win multiple series here in last 5-6 years. Also the crowd factor does not work against Aussies. It is like screaming to deaf ears.
They are five time world champions, current test champions, it is another day in office for them.
Pressure is on our boys. In one way or the other, this is end of an era. At least for five of our guys it is very possibly the last one day world cup.
Our batting relies heavily on Rohit, Virat and Rahul. I am pretty sure Aussies have taken note of that. So I am hoping other guys will give their best.
If we have to defeat the Aussies and the pressure, then we need to plan for the most critical 600 balls we are going play of our life. I am hoping they have planned for all sorts of possibilities. If we doubt ourselves with 30 minutes of possible bad cricket, then we are in trouble. If we depend on other factors against Australia, we will be in trouble.
It is our 11 vs their 11, it is that simple. No toss factor, dew factor, crowd factor, Bollywood factor. These are distractions.
I know that there will be pressure no matter we say, because I am feeling it right now and it is only 9 30 in morning . We will have result around 13 hours from now that will resonate among 1.4 billion people for years to come.
So good luck and God speed.
May the best team win.

High-risk, ultimate reward: How Australia can deliver knockout blows to take down India in World Cup final

I would not use word such as curse or chokers, South Africa was bettered by a superior side, the game’s most successful nation. They are better than any other team that plays the game in these situations.I do not think that Cummins catch would make much difference in the end result because we have seen what Adam Zampa can do with bat, as he did against England. There will always be discussion about what might have been after what has been.

Ace of Chase: Cummins, Starc steer Aussies into World Cup decider after classic semi as Proteas' knockout curse continues

I am still in dark about this saga. Apparently the accusation is BCCI intervened to select pitch that would be slow to suit our boys. BCCI does those things, no denying it. But I am confused about nature of the accusation in this case. The supposed slow pitch produced absolute slog fest and at one point of time we were thinking New Zealand may chase it. So someone from BCCI emailed ICC and world simply assumed it must be because of pitch?

I have a feeling Semi Finals would be India vs New Zealand and South Africa vs Australia

‘Deplorable’ batting stumbling block and costly bowling problem: Australia’s two glaring issues to fix at World Cup

I believe you meant to say another outstanding Moral Win for England 😂 😂

'Very disappointing, same old story': England in danger of finishing last after India dish out another World Cup thrashing

Couple of points –
1. Australia still has problem in middle order.
2. Australia still has collapse problem. I believe today they lost last 4 wickets for 1 runs !!
3. Being all out too frequently regardless of the score.
4. The single biggest problem – Mitchell Starc . In his form, he will lose his team matches. This is a glaring “national security” level problem for Australia when teams are closing on playing Semi Finals. Today fielding saved Australia the day. After bowling 5 wide, he bowled two boundary balls that were cut down due to brilliant fielding

Heady days: Travis' triumphant return outdoes NZ prodigy's epic as Aussies hang on in crazy, thrilling run-fest

QDK ,Aiden Markaram, Heinrich Klaasen, three batting pillars of South Africa. Anyone who will be facing them, a bit of advice –
Do not bowl fast bowlers to them, bowl spinners and medium pacers who can take the pace off. All three off them are susceptible to this from what i have observed so far.

Just to set things straight for confused England, The Semi Finals will be played by top 4 finisher of the table, not middle 4, if that is where they are aiming at. And i do not think there will be a Moral World Cup Winner or Moral World Chump 😂 😂

ENG-barrassed: Skipper facing the sack after Poms' nightmare loss to Sri Lanka - World Cup title defence 'is over now'

Call me a pessimist, but i am yet to be convinced that our boys have delivered complete performance. Yesterday being at 190/5, we could almost sense trouble if there was another early wicket. It looks good on paper that we have won 5 out of 5 matches, but i am having deja vu of 2015, 7 match 70 wickets, remaining unbeaten, then came the day of reckoning.
We need to ask ourselves some hard questions–

1. Has the dependency on our top 3 reduced? It seems we are very dependent on Rohit delivering upfront and Virat taking us through. While Virat’s resurgence is a good sign, both Rohit and Virat has a history of failing at biggest occasion. Did our middle order deliver solid performance? I do not think so. Rahul’s form is a big plus though.

2. So far we have been lucky to be the chasing team. If yesterday’s match was other way around, If New Zealand was the chasing team, would we win? It took us 48 over to chase 274 in relatively easier batting condition. When New Zealand was batting, the slower balls were gripping, it was evident by their batting in last 10 overs.
