Richie McCaw is getting old and lazy. He is coming into rucks from the side and making mistakes that he didn’t in the past. Giving away that penalty, in front of the referee, in front of the posts, lost the game for the Crusaders.

$$$$………The ARU can’t see further than the noses in front of their faces. KT is right –we don’t produce have enough top rugby players to go around. The ARU got us into this situation, now we have to make the best of it. Import more players — thats the only way to make a team like the Force competitive. What a sorry tale…..

Andy Friend was no good. He was sacked by the Tah’s back in 2005 when he was their backs coach because players had no confidence in him. So I couldn’t believe it when the Brumbies then went and signed him. That was the Brumbies first mistake. The 2nd mistake was not getting rid of him at the end of last year. The Brumbies were described as the Real Madrid of rugby — but the backs were useless under him.
The problem at the Brumbies is not player power, but that they keep picking dud coaches! First Nucifora, then Laurie Fisher, then Friend.
They had 2 great coaches when they started as a franchise and that’s when they were great: MacQueen and Jones. Since then its been a downward spiral.
But one of the problems of Australian rugby is that not only are there not enough good players to go around, but there are not enough good coaches either.
The best thing the Brumbies could do would be to bring back Eddie Jones.
