From a somewhat neutral viewpoint (Kiwi) Hodge’s tackle looked clumsy as he got wrong footed and found himself in an awkward position. It deserved a yellow IMO and at worst maybe a week off. A Red card (as this was retrospectively adjudged to have been) should be reserved for acts with intent to injure or that are incredibly reckless dangerous play in which I don’t believe this to be either.

Have to disagree there Fionn, they play the same position but are very different in style. Marx is amazing but Coles has just come off a horror run of injuries. We saw in the SR final that he is just getting back to his best and he was outstanding on Saturday. I see them as pretty even and clearly two best hookers in the world, they just play different styles.
