Pretty sure he made his Aus debut first so it was Sheens Oikee.

Stuart says NRL could lose Folau

I’m no Parra fan but i agree with you Steve. Would rather have him in the NRL rather than helping the ARU as a promotional tool GWS style…. I saw Dave Dennis on a Waratahs sign yesterday. I had to ask my mate(union fan) who he was! Folau having played AFL and NRL would be one of the best known sportsman in Australia and its better for League if we have him. (Raiders colours would be nice!)

Pity that no one can beat number 1!

Poland: Rugby league's newest powerhouse

Russell Smith. F**k me.

Referees' bosses Harrigan and Raper dumped

A question about elegibility I have been wondering about… My mad Hurricanes supporter has told me the Force have signed a promising Canes ITM cup player. In 5 years time and he is still playing at the Force and he is good enough to play for the AB’s will they pick him? Or is it strictly NZ super rugby sides only? Any help would be appreciated.

The public shaming of Steve Hansen

Matthew, you are the first Broncos supporter that is a fan of Dale Copley! Anyways, if Yow Yeh and Copley move to the centres who will be on the wings? I wasn’t suggesting Blair as a walk up starter, but a depth player with experience that can be relied on when called upon.

No idea about Kite. There was the rumour in the papers that the Tigers were interested …

I forgot about Beau Scott! Surely they are saving with someone in mind.

I think my biggest bug bear with Hodkinson being at the Dogs is the amount of salary cap space being wasted by playing him in NSW Cup. The 250K plus could be used to keep some of the up and comers or top up the contracts of players coming off contract next year. Eastwood, Reynolds, Pritchard and Tolman are all off contract at the end of next season. Plenty of clubs will be after Tolman and Reynolds that’s for sure.

Mortimer playing NSW cup and Stagg unsigned for 2013. Should be a punishable offence!

I agree Keating appeared a touch out of his depth in the grand final and i personally rate hodkinson higher. In saying that Reynolds had the luxury of having Greg Inglis running off the outside him and an experienced halves partner in Sutton too. I think Ben Barba this season will be able to take more pressure of whoever his halfback is next year in a karmichael hunt, darius boyd style.

I cant see both in the 17 next year Dogs. I think Halatau being able to cover centre, back row and hooker in desperate times and Romelo being a decent hooker and able halves replacement will see those two fight out the bench utility spot.

Drinkwater does have massive potential. I think he was in the top 5 for try assists in a team with a dismal attack so he can play. I would just think that the Dragons could use a more experienced half due to having a new captain next year, relatively inexperienced coach and a second year hooker.

Re: Matt Groat. It was a light hearted jibe at the extreme lack of footwork he uses. After getting belted by Ben Te’o he never made it back to first grade. Compare Groat to Woods, a player less than a year older. Woods played every game this year even earning a prop oc year nomination an plenty throwing his name around for Origin.
Woods only had one year in schoolboys.
I guess what I’m saying Is junior reps are a good indicator of talent but shouldn’t be used exclusively. The tigers thought that highly of Groat they signed Ray Cashmere from the Illawarra Cutters.
