Last time I looked around Australia I didn’t notice anyone with buggered limbs from Polio or scars from Smallpox. I cant say I’ve noticed any TB wards reopening recently. All eliminated or drastically reduced due to the miracle of vaccines. But hey, there is no fun in allowing the facts to get in the way of a good youtube conspiracy video.

Cartwright can say no to his flu shot, but the NRL should say no to him

I was am surprised this vaccination debate has never come up before and wrongly assumed certain vaccinations were already compulsory. Especially considering there have been players diagnosed with various Hep strains before (i know there is no vaccine for C) but you can get a shot for A/B. I think it was Quentin Ponga that had Hep B and was forced to retire and Wayne Pearce contracted Hep B from a sponge in the late 70’s early 80’s. To me compulsory vaccinations, including the flu-shot, for players, is just a no-brainier.

I know he has plenty of time but currently Coen Hess is a disappointment. I thought at one stage QLD had found their impact forward for the next 10 years.

Maroons make two changes in team for Origin 2

I agree with Cordner. To me he is not a guaranteed NSW player and one who should be thereabouts depending on form.

Who should have NSW chosen as captain?

Sadly Brisbane’s halves, whichever combination they decide to run with, are worse than Penrith at the moment.

I am not sure they are really that smaller than the starting props. Fifita is 120kg and Glasby and Wallace are 108kg. The starting props are not huge. Napa only weighs in at 110, McGuire at 107 and Papali at 109.

As a Qlder, noticing the absence of one L.Mitchell, makes me smile. I know he has had a rough few weeks but he is the most devastating player in the game. Back that up with replacing Josh Morris who was close to NSW’s best on ground in game 1 is odd.

How confident Cleary is knowing he was about to be dropped for Pearce, if not for a late injury?

Sometimes I wonder if the massive amount of talented players NSW has to choose from is an impediment to success. The chopping and changing cannot be good for team harmony.

Freddy and the selectors have seriously lost the plot

Your sudden defence of Bennett, after spending years on ZT bashing on him, is possibly the biggest back flip i have ever seen.

James Roberts signs with Rabbitohs after being released by Broncos

The odd thing here is that you, on this and other sites, have spend years telling everyone who would listen that Bennett is a washed up has been whose record was inflated by state of origin teams and illegal cap breaches.
Now he is coaching Souths and doing well, Bennett has magically returned to his status of a master coach and I have to read you recite his stellar record, like you respected his achievements and ability all along.

I think it is a disgrace that Australia and Great Brittan have not contested the Rugby League Ashes since 2003. This is the oldest international Rugby League trophy going back to 1908. I have never understood why this tradition was allowed to be forgotten. I would be happy with a three game series against GB followed by France playing Aus and GB once each.

How the 2019 international season should look

I agree. There should be a standard contract that all clubs should use with obvious differences in duration and amount. Any special clauses such as “get out” or “no alcohol” etc should be approved by the NRL and then only with justification. The activation of these clauses should also be approved by the NRL. It has been shown that clubs, players and their managers cannot be trusted to act in the best interest of the game. For too long the tail has wagged the dog.
