You’ve not left much meat on the bone there Felix but for me an interesting watch will be 26 yo Czech Leopold Konig who also goes to Sky.His 7th at the2014 Tour suggests there could be a lot to come.
Another but less outstanding is De Marchi who moves from Canondale to BMC.He’s aggressive and that always promises more.

Six key transfers ahead of the 2015 cycling season

“Le Tour de France” .Its so much more than a cycle race; Its has to be experience at the roadside to be understood.

When the Tour comes to town for a Depart or a Arrivage or is passing through your village, or anywhere through the Departement, it signals an event which must be honoured.

Preparations will begin weeks in advance with road repairs and local press promotion.People will book the day off work.Farms, schools ,offices ,works whole communities on route will prepare a welcome and a celebration. You get some idea from the TV coverage, but not the scale or the enthusiasm for the day. The enthusiasm is for the event not just for a bunch of crazy lycra clad cyclists,(in France you see them in large numbers almost every day),no its for the celebration of” Le Tour”.

The quality of the racing is cycling ,the event is theatre and tradition.Interpret that into publicity value and you see why its so important in cycling terms as well.

Can't quit: Cycling's addiction to Le Tour

John is absolutely right about roundabouts and road furniture on French roads. Roundabouts of all sizes and types and traffic control devices such as bumps ,single file protrusions into the road and concrete curbs appear like mushrooms. Its mostly subsidised by the government who always spend lavishly on “infrastructure” during economic downturns in an effort to aid local employment .
If France doesn’t get out of its recession soon we shall all be going round in ever decreasing circles before we eventually disappear….. .

"Something's changed": Is the Tour de France too much pressure?

I’m hoping Nieve can be Richie’s “Richie”. He’s a strong climber and appears to have good form and could get stronger as the Tour progresses.

Can Richie Porte do it?

In my opinion Kwiatkowski not Van Garderen will make top 10
Contador will not settle for second before the TT and will attack Nibali almost daily. Not happy to be second and not frightened of being third or worse he may crack Nibbles giving Porte an chance to get involved at some point.
