An optimistic pessimist. Nothing's as simple as it appears, there's got to be a hidden agenda!!

I think the finals aspiration quote was a poorly chosen throw away line. However, it says to the Eels players players that they have to be the ones that get him finals footy.
Why not work harder, make the side around you better players and be successful off the back of that??

Moses' motivation for Eels move? Finals footy

I remember Dave Taylor as 5/8 at Brisbane for a game too

A little bit of Sheenius: Is Des going mad?

Monumental task for Ivan. Playing 2017 with this lot, it’s seems that he won’t have the luxury of blooding lower grade players late in the season once we’re out of finals contention.
The Big 4 fiasco. Personally I’d keep Teddy and Moses and develop Liddle into a star 9 and call them the Big 3 like Melbourne.
Oh yeah and dealing with Marina No Show & Co.
All the best Ivan!

Tigers need Cleary oxygen to get off life support

Thanks for the cut down Quentin. Do you have an opinion on this topic or just happy to bag people?

Australia came close but missed the Marsh in India

I’d rotate the all rounder depending on the conditions. Medium pacer who bats (M.Marsh) Batsmen who bowls spin (Maxwell) or next trip to India no all rounder

Very impressed by Maxwells ton. Can he do it consistently? If he doesn’t get a bowl I’d rather an out and out batsman

Nothing like a S. Marsh single figure score to knock the jam out of your donut. I believe he was picked on the strength of previous sub continent scores against Sri Lanka. Poor old Khawaja made the mistake of dominating on Australian pitches this summer. Considering Renshaw had barely set foot outside the main quad at high school let alone had sub continental form just makes Khawaja’s omission more baffling.
As for the all rounder obsession, M. Marsh and Maxwell bowled 11 overs in 7 matches so why bother having one? Fair enough on a flat Aussie deck but considering the BCCI offered pitches resembling the contents of a vacuum bag a genuine batsman should’ve been used.
An absolute dogs breakfast from the selectors
