Not sure Danger is as relaxed and at ease like Dusty seems to be. Dusty appears to have an instinct of when to go into the mid field or when to fold back. Danger? Seems really intense and bull at a gate attitude for mine. Great player of course but doesn’t have the mindfulness of Dusty.

Really? Probably one of the last teams I would have thought of regarding Cox. On second thoughts though they do lack height all over the ground and need someone to give English a chop out I guess. Hmmmm. Not sure about this.

Taylor Adams? Jayden Short? Caleb Daniel? Lloyd? Haynes? Really Doran. Have you even been watching over the last few seasons? These guys were bona fide stars before this season began.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been reminded of the 2018 prelim and that American dude, Mason Cox. The thing I mostly recall is the embarrassing ‘U-S-A, U-S-A-‘ chant by the Magpie faithful at the G that day. Really cringeworthy stuff. Probably time they got over it but past experience tells me Pies supporters will serve that up for many a year to come.

No doubt you’ve had many free agents and mature age recruits. No question. That’s the basis of my argument. They often get in the way of developing your youngsters. The success of Myers, Parfitt and Henry demonstrates this all too well. Myers and Parfitt have become regulars sure, whether they’ll take you forwards is another question. Henry seemed to consolidate his spot this year. Appreciate that Clark in particular, Fogarty and Simpson have potential. Why on earth would you bring blokes like Dalhaus, Rohan and Steven into the club and play them in front of your young talent. Yep, Geelong will play more finals but I think you’re going to the wrong well too often.

Don’t think you were watching the right game, Wass. Only 4 or 5 players had more disposals than Dusty at half time and he didn’t waste any. Kicked a goal too. Wasn’t at his awesome best but still among the best out there.

Wasn’t just you, Mick. They’ve both been doing it for years. It’s beginning to permeate through the ranks at Geelong too. Dalhaus, Miers, Rohan and Parfitt, just to name a few, gave it a decent crack last night. The umpires were generally onto it though which was good to see.

You’d have to hate being drafted to Geelong as a young fella knowing in all likelihood they won’t play you. Where is their youth? They’d rather ready made recycled players to ‘Stay in the window’. A team of stars really is a stretch.

Fantastic season by Shorty. Awesome player with ball in hand. Absolutely rapt for Bolton, McIntosh and Baker too . . . 4th, 5th and 6th respectively. Demonstrates what an even team the Tigers have become. Really believe there is still improvement in this group. Loads of talent was watching on from the sidelines.
