Is “wrongest” a word?

Dave Rennie's Wallaby XV: Who gets the nod from countless options from Super Rugby AU?

I might be feeling a little nostalgic in amidst the current rugby situation, but this article was a massive read and well overdue. Great stuff. An amazing player who put bums on seats. One of my true greats of the game

Super Rugby retrospectives: Chris Latham

I can’t help but disagree with this assertion and feel frustrated by it. Most people I know would say my “support” of the wallabies over the past 5 years was at times verging on treachery. There are some very simple things that need to change to give the players a fighting chance that surely shouldn’t be hard for professional athletes to achieve; alls that is needed is the right coach and support from RA. Easy right? The things that have let us down in the recent past have been lack of game plan, consistency and selection, all of which can be changed, I would suggest in as little as 6 months. If theae things are achieved, surely we could then build towards a 4 year plan to RWC? The things that I see as more difficult would be player retention, development of key positions such as 10 and 15. There are cattle to go, banks, Maddox, McDermott tupou, Uelese, Wright and a heap of U20s. 24 year old backs with maybe 30 tests under their belt at the next RWC? I say yes please. Baby steps. Sack the idiots in charge, maintain the selection committee, attempt to centralised the super teams, manage the road… maybe a little harder but still achievable.

The next Wallabies coach is an idiot

Can we please stop saying how “destructive” KB is?

Six talking points from Wallabies vs Wales

As was suggested in the article, this is not just an issue with just league. Kearns, horan at al in union are as poisonous as it gets. And cricket… hang on… is there a pattern? And yes, the best way to watch sport in australia, is with the volume down, save Peter sterling, fatty, and very few others. I actually can’t think of anyone who down at seem like they’ve not got an agenda in union.

The uncomfortable truth about the NRL’s horrible media coverage

The most remarkably unremarkable thing about this has to be the inclusion of Phipps, Simmons, DHP at wing… again… and TPN.

The great thing about this is Wright, Valentini banks pocock, at 7! and genia. I like this team.

And O’Connor is on the bench to take up the play making slack when our other 10s get broken out of the RWC.

David Pocock to captain as Wallabies name team for Samoa clash

Yes, these are talking points but leading into a RWC, is the more important, overarching issue consistency? This article could quite easily have been written last season, the season before and so on. Surely the issue is combinations and consistency, in each facet of the game. The past 3 years have been wasted with poor decision making that has the wallabies still experimenting with the RWC within throwing distance. No one was surprised with the result; I sensed early defeatist overtones in the commentary, I tipped a 30-40 point defeat. Australia is ranked 6th. SA is coming together and have depth, Eng will be dangerous and Wales, while serious depth may be a problem, are on top of the world. Regardless of their recent losses, NZ should still be clear favourites but in light of this, the Chieka just hasnt changed what was glaringly obvious from day one of his tenure. Game plan, consistency, intelligent selection. Beale will always be beale. Talented, but without consistency, compsure or game day mettle he is an obvious example of the root issues. I can’t wait for Chieka to go, Izzy to win, RA to go broke, Twiggy to buy in and rugby in Aus will be great again.

Eight talking points from Bledisloe 2

At last… an article avoiding preconceptions and stereotypes about cooper’s new defensive game. Gold.

Halfway to heaven: The Will and Quade show rolls on

Is it at all possible that QCs issues at the reds had nothing to do with his attitude but possibly the fact that the franchise had NFI what was going on? A steady stream of rookie coaches not able to complete their jobs, or create a decent game plan. Why is it that humility is brought into this, insinuating he was loose when the fact is, all players mature.

Seven talking points from Super Rugby Round 7

you didnt see him manage the ref while Hooper was busy fixing his hair in the tests last year? he stepped up when hooper was clueless.

A sneak preview of the new Wallabies selection panel's first meeting

I don’t rate him so highly just yet. still needs to increase his impact.

A sneak preview of the new Wallabies selection panel's first meeting

The selections over the past 3 years have been crippling and one man’s legacy. Hanigan (although he is coming into some form finally) Phipps, the expensive Samu debacle, Hooper as skipper, Pocock at eight, no running back rower, Stephen Moore’s extended career, Foley having unlimited lives, Folau at 15 and not on the wing, Simmons… well, Simmons… It has been a traumatic experience. I hope the chosen few aren’t given RWC lifelines because they perform reasonably in the RWC warm up match V Samoa. worst case scenario.

A sneak preview of the new Wallabies selection panel's first meeting

A great article and i can relate to you sitting in front of the tele yelling “see”!!! Regarding folau’s most effective position. But i cannot agree with one thing… “In truth, Beale isn’t a great fullback either, but his kicking game and his playmaking make him a dangerous prospect from the back”. It is not his playmaking or his kicking because he more often than not fails to find grass with poorly placed kicks and has shown he is not a playmaker, but, in open space, in broken play, while running with intent, he can be that threat. BTW. Didn’t you hear? Israel is the best 15 in the world. His girl friend said so… case closed…

Straight lines the Waratahs’ blueprint to simple but effective attack

Once again the narrative is focusing solely on Quade Coopers defensive record. At this point in time, Australia incumbent flyhalf, Bernard Foley, leads Australian conference in missed tackles. One Kurtley Beale was did the same last year overall. and yet where are the criticisms of them? I am sick of the under qualified, basic, RA aligned press overlooking form and maintaining the old guard selection process. move on you clowns and report it as it is.

Super Rugby Power Rankings 2019: Round 4

You think phipps had a good game? Pick him at wing because he has shown no indication of his abilitiea at 9. Genia was one of our better players behind a vrey scrappy pack. lets also remember that he was selected there, because of Phipps inability at the position, after an extended layoff. AAC was not the issue either. Here are the issues… why was mccalman selected ahead of mcmohan? Why is gits being rubbished after he gave all for his team and broke his leg doing it? Why was mitchell not selected? How the hell has moore retained captaincy; he generally is a poor communicator with the ref and his form is pitiful. How was kerevi not selected. TK is in dreadful form and cannot break the line, something kerevi has been doing all season and threatened in his first test. This is not a O/S player issue. This is a selection issue of “incumbent” players. This was right in that young players need to be selected but not at the expense of those who raise the standard of the team.

Giteau Law must go before it destroys the Wallabies' culture
